I took my bride, Dee Dee Bates, and my grandson, Austin D., fishing at the mouth of Bayou Lacombe and Lake Pontchartrain using Carolina rigs and dead shrimp. They both hooked up with monster drum that literally pulled the boat around for a short time. Biggest fish ever for both. A great day on the water and many stories to tell for years to come.
