On March 30, Dawson Manino got a day off work and decided he was going to go do a little bank fishing because he didn’t feel like hauling the boat. He got out to his spot below Toledo Bend right before the sun came up and started fishing. He got a few bites but wasn’t able to hook up. At around 8:30 a.m. he finally landed his first fish of the day, which just so happened to be this 8.57-pound tank of a Sabine River bass.
