Benjamin Svanda, 23, of Metairie with a 40-inch, 46.24-pound black drum caught bank fishing in Hopedale on April 28. He was using live shrimp from Campos Marina alongside cut bait (croaker – also caught off of the bank in Hopedale) and a Daiwa BG 3500.
