A picture is worth a thousand words

Chris Tubbe was out fishing with his friend, John Flowers, on Aug. 7, 2021. They launched in Bayou Lacombe and fished their way to the mouth. They made the run to the Hwy. 11 Bridge and the Trestles. When they got there, Tubbe tied on a 3/8 -ounce jig head with a Salt strong Slam Shady jig, tossed it towards the Trestles and the fight was on. It took about a minute before he got to where he could see the fish, and he said it took what felt like a hour to land him. This was the first redfish he’s ever caught, but he said it definitely won’t be the last.
