The 4-pound largemouth bass was caught in Lafitte on Jan. 30, 2021 by Clay Clawson of Belle Chasse. He was using a red/white spinnerbait with a Shrimp Creole Matrix Shad trailer. This was the FIRST FISH OF THE DAY! What a way to start. Things were slow for hours until he started praying, escaped the wind and the sun broke through the clouds. After that, it was on with the spinnerbait!
