The Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) will hold a public meeting Oct. 6 from 4-6 p.m. in Venice to update and solicit feedback on the Birdfoot Delta Hydrologic Restoration Project. The meeting will be held at the New Orleans Big Game Fishing Club, located at 235 Cypress Cove Road behind Cypress Cove Marina.
The project, at the mouth of the Mississippi River, is designed to stop wetland loss, restore riverine delta wetland growth and enhance habitat for wildlife and fisheries.
CPRA is looking for public feedback on the project from recreational fishermen that use the Birdfoot Delta.
