Mallory Belaire, 10, put the smack down on Jan. 10, 2026 and killed her first buck while hunting with her dad, Max Belaire, at their camp in the Atchafalaya Basin in Catahoula (Saint Martin Parish). She has killed deer before but this is her first buck, an 8-point! She put in the work this past season and has an amazing support system who are all so proud of her. First thing she said after laying down the hammer was “I’m mounting this buck and hanging it in my room!”
