Kenny Rodrigue uses a 2 ½- or 3-inch cigar slip cork and ties a bobber stop above his hook, making his rig adjustable to any depth.
When fishing with worms, the angler prefers a No. 1 perch hook with a split shot weight so the cork will stand up on end vertically.
When fishing with plastic tubes a 1/8-, 1/16- or 1/32-ounce weight tube jig also works with this type of float. The bobber stop allows anglers to adjust the jig to the depth fish are biting, whether in the shallows close to shore, around cypress trees in deeper water or extremely deep at the mouths of canals where they meet bayous.
