Brandon J. DeCuir, of Baton Rouge, has been appointed to the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission by Gov. John Bel Edwards. DeCuir will serve as an at-large member of the seven-person commission until April 30, 2025.
DeCuir, a lifelong Louisiana resident, will make his first appearance on the Commission when the group meets in Baton Rouge on Feb. 3.
“The Louisiana outdoors offers so many incredible experiences to our citizens and visitors of our state,” said DeCuir. “I look forward to being a part of preserving some of my favorite pastimes for those who come after me.”
He and his wife Sharlene have one son, Brandon Jr. DeCuir is an attorney and partner at DeCuir, Clark, and Adams L.L.P in Baton Rouge. He is a member of the Coastal Conservation Association and the Louisiana Wildlife Federation. He is Counsel to the Board and Member of the Louisiana March of Dimes, a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Baton Rouge Bar Association and a past member of the Louisiana Tax Institute.
“Louisiana is the Sportsman’s Paradise, and being afforded the opportunity to serve on this Commission to preserve hunting and fishing both recreationally and commercially is an awesome responsibility and I’m excited to serve,” DeCuir said.
