The access road to Elmer’s Island, a wildlife refuge owned and maintained by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, will close to the public Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020 for construction activities.
Vehicular traffic to Elmer’s Island Wildlife Refuge via the access road will be closed for the entire day.
Elmer’s Island Wildlife Refuge is a 1,145-acre tract of barrier beachfront located on the southwestern tip of Jefferson Parish.
