Little help please, does anyone know how much it is to stay a night at Bobby Lynn's and/or Boudreaux's motel? Thanks

John Rucker posted a nice report for bank fishing Hwy 1, I will second that. I did not take any pictures but I have not put a boat in the water over the last 30 days and I have caught more fish than I can count. Sunday was 25 trout in an hour with 3 throw-backs. I will get some pictures this weekend and have a report for everyone. Gold spoons and plastic under a cork has done it for me.

March 19, 2013 at 8:30pm

I was able to catch some good fish yesterday before the wind got bad in the afternoon. I did not keep any of the reds, all about 24', once I got into the trout. They were smaller yesterday than they have been lately but still about 14-16' Over the last month I have caught more fish than the last few years, but I have been able to spend more time in Leeville because of a new job. I will try to get some pictures of catches later this week. Oh, still using gold spoons 100% of the time.

February 26, 2013 at 2:00pm

I was able to get in a few hours of fishing last week. Tried out some new spots and they paid off. Had a great time with nice weather. I only used one bait, Johnson 1/2oz gold spoon. Just had to cast it, that's it. Looking forward to this week.

Great reports everyone. I live out of state these days and have not fished during the summer in a long time. I will be in Leeville this weekend and was wondering if it is worth my time to try and fish under the lights this time of year? Also, these trips are far and few between these days so any other advice for the area would be great. Thanks.

This one is not from Louisiana but it sure was fun. I would have much rather cleaned a white tail. Great trip and I could not even fit a pack of hotdogs in the freezer

December 07, 2009 at 9:55pm

Well I have not been to Louisiana since March but I just baught my ticket for this weekend so I need some help. I will be at my camp in Leeville by Friday morning and if you guys could be so kind as to let me know any places producing that will save me some time as it is limited. Thank You

October 13, 2009 at 2:06pm

Well I would rather be fishing in Leeville but since I am hunting in UT I can share these pictures. These are from a trail cam. about 9,000 feet. Season starts Aug. 15th

Little late on this report but I have been working too much. Fished the past two weekends in the Leeville marshes, because of the wind and rain, and did well. Two weeks ago we ran back and forth from the camp to the spot to avoid the rain and brought home some nice reds and trout. Last week we caught more fish but had to measure a few and only one red. Almost all the fish were caught on live bait. I threw everything I had but they really wanted a minnow. At dusk and dawn the top dog jr. worked well and was a lot of fun. Back to work again out of state for a while but hope to get back this summer, til then good luck.

March 29, 2009 at 7:55pm

I fly in Wednesday and go to Leeville Thursday for the first time in over a year. Because it has been so long any help on the area (GM to GI) would be well appreciated. I was looking online at Plastic baits and because of the price difference per bag, $2 to $6, I got to wondering, do you guys think there is any difference in plastic baits when fish are NOT in a feeding frenzy? I use the H&H Cocohoes about 90% and DOA 10%. Thanks for the comments and help.

Eman or anyone else, any reports coming from this area. I have been out of state for a while so just wondering. Should be back by summer for good, until then I am going ice fishing saturday night. Last time I went is was -2 degrees, not much fun. I can't wait to be in Leeville again soon. Someone broke into my neighbors camp so my dad had to go build a fence around ours. If you see anyone in the white camp 2 miles north of leeville find out their business for me and I will return the favor when I am back. How is the hwy and Bridge coming? Thanks

The cost involved with reacting to something as oppose to acting on something is far more expensive. Not only with money but time; this is why insurace pays for wellness care. This is with everything in our country but I want to talk about land. Here are three pictures from google earth in Leeville where I started fishing about 7 years ago. I measured points that I know where they were when I started fishing down there. At this time there are gaps in the land as much as 107'. I know this goes on everywhere and must be fixed, so I ask again, Why does our government React instead of act?

December 10, 2008 at 3:33pm

Anyone going through Leeville I sure could use a report on my camp. I am out of state and will not be back for a while. If you would email me if you are going to Leeville, GI, or Fourchon I will get you my number and maybe you can call with an update. My camp is on LA1, you have to pass it. Thanks again for the reports during the storm.

September 04, 2008 at 11:44am

Well I am in Utah for this years hunt. I only have 4 days to hunt, that is the season, and I can only hunt one area of the state. However there are some big mule deer and thought I would share some scouting pictures with y'all.

September 03, 2008 at 3:11pm

Hey Guys I hope y'all are doing well as can be in this storm. I am glued to the internet but I can't find much info on Leeville. My camp is there and I live in Utah so I dont know what is happening. Any info on the surge or anything else I would be greatful for. Thanks, and good luck.

September 01, 2008 at 9:26am

I have never seen anything like this before

August 11, 2008 at 11:21am

I really miss fishing and hunting in Louisiana, but the hunting in Utah can be good too. BTW the fishing sucks.

A comment titled: Bayou in response to a report titled: Leeville is hot

I have not fished any Bayou that has a name. I have been fishing small ponds in the marsh. When I got into trout that size I was very surprised. I am still catching nice 14-20' trout in water about 3' deep. my reds are coming on the low tides in water less than a foot deep. In fact, I sight cast to most of them. I hope that helps. I will be down all weekend so I will try to update this on Monday.

A comment titled: Thanks in response to a report titled: Leeville is hot

Thanks for the nice comments. I am telling you, the fishing has been great. Dad asked if he should bring the boat this weekend and I said no way. In the time it takes to clean the boat when you are done I can have an ice chest full of trout and reds. I will tell you this, put on some wadders or boots and get off the beaten path if you can. I happen to own my land so I can walk in the marsh a little bit. And no, if you get there by boat I dont care, but because people will sue you these days, the land is posted, not the water, feel free to use it. Food for thought.

I will tell you this, get as deep as you can in the marsh. The reds have been a blast and i have so many in the freezer i have stopped keeping them. I have had a blast lately. good or bad weather does not matter. Dont know if you saw the trout i put on here last week but they were really nice, 3-5lbs. I will be down all weekend and let you know what i do.

Did not put them on a scale, but I will tell you this, 15 trout and 3 reds on a stringer were a good 50-60lbs. Great morning.

I fly out in the morning for my first trip since March. I hope they are biting well. If you hear of anything please let me know as I want to catch some fish. With only 2 trips a year they have to count. You have my number from my text last week and if you are down fell free to stop by the camp. We should be there by 9am Friday until monday or tuesday if the fish are biting.

A comment titled: Leeville in response to a report titled: Wanting to take my daughter bank fishing off LA 1

Like someone else said LA 1 can be bad with a young kid. If you go that way let me know and I will let you fish off the peir at my camp in Leeville. This time of year you can catch reds, sheepshead and drum; maybe some trout if it is a little cold. I wont be there but if you dont steal anything I am okay with it. Safe, fun and private property. Let me know.

I will be flying into BR Tuesday and bringing my kids to the camp for the first time. We are north of Leeville, about 2 miles and I love the area. Any help on where/how we might catch some fish would be great. I have not been down since Oct, tough to get there from Utah.
