I put together a little turkey hunting video from last season of my Osceola hunt.
Tagged out this week in Florida.....Osceola down only two left to complete my grand slam
This hunt took place on November 15th 2014 in jasper county Illinois the shot was further back than I wanted but the end result it the same
I had a little history with this buck we called turkeyfoot. He got his name due to the palmetto of his G2,G3 and G4 on his left side looking like a turkey foot. I shot him last year my arrow was deflected by a small limb hitting him in his hip. Fast forward one year later back in Illinois same farm, same ridge, same stand on the first evening I see him tending a doe, grunting like crazy, snort wheezing an chasing of the smaller bucks, she see's her opertuneity to sneaks off. When he noticed his chance of romance was slipping away he comes running down the same lane she passed giving me a 30 yard shot, sinking my arrow fetching 's deep

Just got back from Kansas. ..man we had some rough whether 30 to 40 mph winds all weekend and a sand storm but we still managed to get our birds
First Swamp chicken down of the season, what a great hunt. The morning start like any of turkey hunt heard him gobble a ways of started heading to him and we ran out of land luckily we had found a old flat boat we use for crawfishing and used a tree limb as a push pole when we got to the ridge he was on we step out the boat called to him he was 50 yards from us we hurried and set up got the camera rolling he was strutting and gobbling for 30 minutes before he came In to give us the shot...He thought he was pretty smart by isolating him self on that island but we weren't giving up my first bird in 5 years......we got him this Saturday before the bad weather moved in
this is the ten point that busted me in the stand last week at mid draw, the landowner next door to our lease shot it yesterday illegally with a shotgun during bow season it came across on our lease one of our members found it yesterday morning it was still warm ,laying next to my ladder stand
Had a rough week in Illinois missed a good buck with my bow cause I didn't see the sapling that I center punched, then got busted by a good 150's buck at mid draw , so I took this buck the next morning with my muzzle loader.
Looks like duck season opens up early this year for less miles and mike the tiger, LSU vs Oregon ducks sept. 3rd.

Saw add dixie ranch hunting club looking for members iam very interested since i live in mandeville, and had my lease bought out from under us this oct 1 please contact me at 985-789-2219, i tried to call the number listed.
Anyone every hunt big branch, i did some scouting off the pipeline west of transmitter road between paquet rd. and the lake , seen some good sign any input would help first time hunting public land since someone bought our lease opening day of bow this year.
It came out pretty good for a drive way job.
Saturday am 3/27/10 we had three toms gobbling on the roost, two hens in our decoy spread and we watched one gobbler fly down 50 yards from us and he went the other way well they won that morning. Sat after noon went back to the same location from 3 till dark did not hear or see anything I was so disappointed I picked up my decoy spread and blind and said the heck with it I am sleeping in , in the morning.
well Sunday am I wake up at 7 am I let my dog Brutus out the camp and hear a gobble my heart stops I hear a second gobble I realize exactly where he is, on the pipeline so I scramble to get Brutus back inside, then get dressed grab my gun an head to the east side of the pipe line and glass I did not see anything I figured he was still on the roost so I circle around to the east side of the pipeline and call a hen answers three times as I make my way down the trail to the pipeline, I got about 60 yards from the pipeline an see the hen walk across the trail, something caught my eye to the left of the pipeline walking down the edge of the tree line I was 50 yards away and could not get any closer with out risking getting busted, I made a couple of soft purrs and kee kees and he came on in as if on a string they may have beat me sat. but I won Sunday this is my biggest bird so far @ 22lb with 10 1/2" beard very thick 1 1/2" spurs
