4 man limit of woodies killed in the 2016-17 season. Have found a few wood duck holes but never any big ducks, would be nice to find some areas to kill teal or big ducks out there.
Nice limit there.Know of a few diehards that hunt either Joyce or Maurepas and think there are few big ducks due to massive amounts of salvinia.Good luck next season!!!
I’ve heard rumors of people getting on mallards and grays in Maurepas swamp the past few years I just can’t find any myself. Keep trying to find some public land mallards guess I’ll just keep heading further north until I find them!
I likewise have heard of some mallards in both Joyce as well as Maurepas WMA and there are some to be had in NShore Marsh as well as Pearl River WMA.Gotta scout,scout,scout some more to find where they wanna be and in NShore Marsh,some folks swear by tree line ponds and suspect same scenario in play for Joyce,Maurepas,Pearl River.just gotta get out there and snoop around!!
