Had a trip planned to go to Venice this coming weekend the 13th-15th. Was wondering if the bass fishing would be completely messed up? Or if it would be ok by the weekend? Or if it didn’t get bad enough to effect it? Thanks.
I'll second that question, especially given the poor condition of the Rousseau cane due to the scale pest invasion and the close proximity of the eye of Nate. Anyone been there to see if we lost any passes, bayous, cuts, etc?
I know it only came up like a little less than 2 feet from what people down there said. A guy said he went today and was tons of fish and most places water was green and pretty. Didn’t see any on top or anything. I know a few regulars who said it should be fine and they, and us, are going this weekend. Fingers crossed
We will be down there this weekend. Surge didn't get high enough to do any real damage. Worst damage will probably be to duck food. Bass should be hungry at least until the river gets muddy next week from all the rain that Nate dumped up north. That rise will slow them down a little but will be back on fire once it greens up again.
