This group of buddies wanted to extend their hunting season by trying their luck on a nutria hunt. With the help of their 12 gauge and .22 rifles they put a lil rat pile on the deck. They were overwhelmed to see that the rats just continued to come out the longer we hunted. they are wanting to make this an annual event!!
Call to book your nutria hunt today!!

Re: Pile of Rats
yeah boyee, them rats are tasty with or without tabasco, a charter for nutria that is a win win situation, you pay him to take you shoot them, he cleans them for you, if you don't eat them can turn them it to feed the hungry charity, and he gets to turn in the tails for a bounty smart man, hopefully he will get steady customers CHEERS

Re: Pile of Rats
we like to have minimum of 3 guys. 200 per hunter and the limit is five per hunting license unless you buy a trappers license which allows you to kill as many as you want. the problem with that is that if your out of state your trappers license if pretty expensive. each trip last about 4 to 5 hours.

limit
state limit is 5 per license on public land, but on private land during the 'closed' season there is no limit on them cause they are destroying land, i had this conversation with WLF not that long ago

Re: Pile of Rats
I spoke with the enforcement department two weeks ago but maybe he didn't realize that we had land because he told me that they were only allowed 5 without the trappers license. ill check with them again to be sure. Thanks

Re: Pile of Rats
Quite possibly the regulations on nutria have become so redundant that the enforcement agents are confused. There are several contradictions, season ends on the 28th except for those WMAs with extended season, shotgun only under the nutria heading but other places it says .22s are legal for all small resident game. Bottom line is you can't guide on the WMA, and if you are on private property the recreational nutria season is done. Thus you are killing under nuisance rules which essentially say any number day or night with traps or any firearm including silencers, laser sights, night vision and infrared. When night shooting you are to inform the local sheriff before going out that night so they don't needlessly chase shots in the night. Check with enforcement but that's what the pamphlet outlines.

lanco got it, nuicense critters, i don't understand why there is a season anywhere on them, and i am sure no agent in their right mind would charge some one for 'over the limit' of nutria, unless you cross the guy with fresh green pants that are not faded and pressed so good the pants will stand on there own and shirt has them 3 creases in the back and 2 in the front in perfect position, Admiral you know what i am talking bout CHEERS

Thanks for looking out and the support guys.....you would think with them being a burden to the land enforcement would do just about anything to help get rid of them but I guess that's not the case....just figured that since I really enjoy hunting them that it would be cool to give other hunters the chance to experience the thrill.
