Louisiana Bachman Squirrel

Reply

Shot a Bachman Squirrel this weekend at my camp in Wilson, Louisiana. They're like fox squirrels but apparently get 2x the size, and have white ears, white on the front of the head, and usually white on the tip of the tail. this one was around 2.5-3lbs. Anyone ever seen one of these hunting?

Nice squirrel. They take some slow cooking, real good smothered with onions.

There is about six or eight of them living around my place. They get big, looks like a cat running across the yard. I used to give 'em hell in my younger days, now I just enjoy watching them, except for when the SOB's play hell with my pear trees.
