2006 Honda Foreman 500 standard.....my sone run it off in a deep water hole.....would not crank.....top end was bored out and re-built.....bottom had a new timing chain installed....problem is i have 2 people telling me different things. one says he would nto do anything else and put it back together. another says change timing tensioner, oil pump etc and spend another $600 on bottom half of engine. what's your thoughts? atv ran off in water then died quickly. carb and oil had water in it.

should never, never try starting an atv r whatever once it goes under water! if he wouldn't have tried starting it probably everything would have been ok! u just drain oil and leave plug out, take out air filter and replace it later, drain gas! then take out plugs n flush out each cylinder with a hose pipe and when u think u flushed enuf keep flushing out til u cant stand it nomo!!! when u done put fresh oil, fresh gas and try to start! if it starts run it a few minutes and change oil! check the drained oil to see if u see any water, if not u good to go if so keep changing oil till it looks good!!!! that's happened to my grandson and his buddies and they did that and everything was ok no problems!!! one buddy tried starting his before he did all that and ruined his engine!! good luck!!!
