Graves has lead Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority for six years
Garret Graves, who has been Gov. Bobby Jindal’s lead on coastal restoration issues for the past six years announced his resignation yesterday.
There was no word on why Graves stepped down as the chair of the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, as well as Jindal’s adviser on energy, coastal and water issues.
“Not sure what the next career move will include, but (I’m) looking forward to taking some time with family and friends to think through challenges to tackle and ripe opportunities,” Graves wrote in an email distributed to groups he has worked with in the past.
The Associated Press reported that Jindal has appointed Graves’ chief deputy, Jerome Zeringue, to fill the CPRA chairmanship.
