Brecken Figueiredo, 13, of Ville Platte, La. has been bowhunting with his father, Tibby Figueiredo, since he was 8 years old. He’s learned a lot within the 5 year quest. There were many close encounters, many mistakes, a couple of lost deer, several lost hogs, but he never gave up while loving and enjoying the process. Always giving thanks to God, the creator, for allowing him to enjoy his creation. On Oct. 14, Brecken sent an arrow with his Bear Bow that he bought with his own money to claim his first bow kill. A tight hug and tears were shared with the father and son at the end of the hunt and to start the celebration.
