Another great buck for Lacy LaGrange

Lacy LaGrange and Samantha LaGrange Bobbit woke up to hunt Lacy’s lease in Grant Parish on the cold morning of Dec. 27, 2022. This was also Samantha’s first hunt in over 15 years. She went along to enjoy the outdoors and spend time with her sister. The two set corn out the day before at the stand to slow down any bucks passing through. Nothing moved all morning until around 8:30 a.m. What Lacy thought was an 8-point walked out at 50 yards. All the while Samantha was sleeping next to her. Lacy pushed Samantha saying “buck, buck, buck,” while grabbing her 7 mag sako with her other hand. Samantha woke up and quickly got her camera out in time to get a video of the shot and hit. They waited about 30 minutes re-watching the shot over and over again. Then once they got down to the hit sight they saw no hair, blood, or bone. Lacy got worried and decided to not to walk in the woods but to call for the dogs. Once the dogs arrived, it was a short track less than 100 yards. The buck was folded up with a perfect shot placement for a quartering away shot. The buck turned out to be a 10-point with a split brow. Lacy also killed a nice 8-point earlier this season on Oct. 30, 2022.
