Our 2023 annual family fishing trip in Hackberry, La., was definitely one to remember!!! I was a little disappointed when a back injury left me sitting on the dock. Mom, Dad and I sat on the dock enjoying each other’s company while we waited on the boats to return so we could admire our family and friend’s catches of the day. I decided to fish while we waited, and this 44-inch, 25-pound monster redfish decided to liven up our day. I reeled him in…. Mom and Dad didn’t disappoint…. Laying on the docks edge, they took the two nets they had…. One took the head and the other took the tail. Pulled this bad boy up and the CELEBRATION began!!! What a weekend of laughs, lots of pictures and stories for a lifetime.
