St. Landry Parish man cited for allegedly being over the limit of bass

Incident took place on Two O’Clock Bayou, LDWF says

Enforcement agents with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries cited a St. Landry Parish man for allegedly taking more than twice the daily limit of bass.

According to a press release, agents cited Issac Godeaux, 42, of Krotz Springs, on March 16 for possessing over the limit of black bass.  Agents allegedly found Godeaux in possession of 21 black bass on Two’ O’Clock Bayou in St. Landry Parish.

The limit on bass in Louisiana waters is 10 per person per day, the release states.

Possessing over the limit of bass brings a $100 to $350 fine and up to 60 days in jail.  Godeaux may also face a total of $147 in civil restitution for the replacement value of the 11 illegally taken bass, according to the release.
