Juan was in possession of two stolen Sea-Doos and trailer, LDWF says
A Mississippi man was arrested on March 3 for alleged possession of stolen property in connection with the theft of two personal watercraft and a trailer from New Orleans, according to a release from the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
Agents arrested Donald Juan, 36, of Picayune, after finding him in possession of two Sea-Doo Bombardiers and the trailer, which was reported stolen in the summer of 2013, the release states.
Agents acted on a tip that the stolen watercraft were located in Slidell this February, and they traced them back to Juan, who was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail, according to the release.
It is not known who is responsible for originally stealing the Sea-Doos in 2013, but the release states agents believe Juan knew they were stolen when he acquired them.
Possession of stolen property brings up to a $3,000 fine and up to 10 years in jail, the release states.
