LDWF’s annual Caney Creek Reservoir public meeting scheduled for tonight

Biologists to discuss aquatic vegetation, fish population sampling results on Jan. 20

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries will hold a public meeting tonight on several Caney Creek Reservoir issues starting at 7 p.m. at the Jimmie Davis State Park Conference Center.

Staff biologists will be on hand to give an overview of aquatic vegetation issues, as well as the results of recent fish population sampling on Caney Creek, according to a press release.

LDWF established a comprehensive management plan for Caney Creek Reservoir in 2006.

The meeting, which will be located at 1209 State Park Road in Chatham, is open to the public.
