Boat crash leaves one dead, one injured near Hopedale
A boating accident near Hopedale left one person dead and another injured early this morning (June 16).

“I don’t know much, except that two boats collided and people got hurt,” a Breton Sound Marina employee told LouisianaSportsman.com.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Enforcement Division confirmed the fatality in the two-boat collision several miles from the marina, but declined to go into more detail at the time because their investigation was continuing.

WWLTV reported that the person injured in the crash was airlifted to University Hospital in New Orleans.
