Massive bass-fishing expo part of Classic attraction

Scores of big-name makers of fishing tackle, boats, motors and other outdoor products for freshwater and saltwater anglers have signed up to exhibit at the 2011 edition of the Bassmaster Classic Outdoors Expo.

The largest bass-fishing expo in the country, which fills 200,000 square feet, opens Feb. 18 at the Ernest Morial Convention Center in downtown New Orleans.

In addition to exhibitors on the list, the show roster will include B.A.S.S. itself, as well as B.A.S.S. official sponsors, including Toyota Trucks, Berkley, Evan Williams Bourbon, Humminbird, Mercury, Minn Kota, Skeeter and Yamaha.

Admission to the expo is free, and it will run concurrently with Bassmaster Classic competition days: Friday-Sunday, Feb. 18-20.

The expo also features live updates from the water with BASSTrakk in the B.A.S.S. booth; live Twitter updates of promotions within the show in the B.A.S.S. booth; giveaways by all of B.A.S.S.’s sponsors; fishing seminars in the Berkley and Dick’s Sporting Goods booths; and B.A.S.S. official Classic merchandise.
