Born and raised in Louisiana, Saltwater fishing has been our passion since we were kids. I grew up deckhanding for several different captain, trying to learn something new every fishing trip. I have since spent the last 13 years putting 100% in to every charter I have run. I have fished all over the world, but nothing compares to the Deep sea fishing in South Louisiana. I have fished the entire coast, Venice Louisiana / Port Fourchon, Cocadrie, but Grand Isle, Louisiana is where I call home. Grand Isle Louisiana is a small island located along the Gulf of Mexico.

Grand isle Louisiana has all the restaurants, lodging and entertainment you will need. Here, there are beach houses and camps on the island to rent. There are many things to do in Grand Isle for the whole family, including surf fishing, pier fishing, a beach for the kids, and much more. Wake up in the morning and take just a short drive to paradise. Being located less than 1 mile from the Gulf of Mexico, there are many options of where we may fish.

Being located less than 1 mile from the Gulf of Mexico, there are many options of where we may fish. We can run east to fish the beautiful rips that the Mississippi river forms forMahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, Tuna fishing and Wahoo, or travel to the ever so popular midnight lump just an hour and a half from the dock. The midnight lump is where 150lb. tuna are caught daily from mid December to late March.

Fishing report from the midnight lump out of Grand Isle Louisiana. Rene and I ran trips Thursday, Friday, and Monday out of Bridge Side Marina. We headed to the Midnight lump in hopes of catching one last chance at some giant yellowfin tuna. We pulled up the water was very dirty and threw out the anchor. First drift it was on or so we thought. First fish was a shark but we kept after it. All in all we ended up catching several nice blackfin tuna, a limit of giant amberjack, some almaco jacks, all the king mackeral you wanted, and let go a few snapper(which there are tons of off the Louisiana coast). Rene tied about 100 hookes due to sharks, But we managed to fill 2 wheel barrows of nice fish each day. Come fish aboard the 32 foot twin vee catamaran and enjoy the confortable ride on a fishing trip of a lifetime.
Below is a video from one of our Offshore Tuna Trips from last summer.

Thanks, capt. Lance Walker

What a great week to be on the water. We fished out of Grand Isle. Louisiana this Tuesday and Wednesday. We left both days around 6:00 a.m. out of Bridge Side Marina and headed south looking for tuna and wahoo. Our first location we stopped at was so loaded red snapper we actually hooked 2 of them while trolling. We continued south crossing into blue water about 60 miles offshore. There was some scattered grass but nothing worth fishing. We trolled for a while both days and only landed 1 nice wahoo. We started chuming and the tuna where every where under the boat. We caught tuna after tuna loosing several to sharks. We had to move several times to get away from the sharks. On the way in we stopped to try and catch amberjack. We limited out fast with the amberjack ranging from 40lbs to 80lbs. If you would like to go on a Charter Fishing Trip of a lifetime, come fish with FISH COMMANDER FISHING CHARTERS.

Snapper season will be June 1- 24 this year.
The season opens this Saturday, June 1st and the weather looks great for that whole first week. We had a last minute cancellation for this Saturday! We also had a cancellation for Monday and Tuesday (June 3 & 4). We've been doing really well with the grouper and had to let go several 30lb plus red snapper already. Can't wait to get out and slam some red snapper. We also have the 16th available. The cobia and mangroves are everywhere and we've been catching some dolphin and wahoo when the rip lines form up. We did really well with yellowfin tuna last week. We now have a 42 foot Bertram available this year and we have a few openings for snapper season. Give me a call if want to get offshore!

Season 2 of our hunting show called (THE SYNDICATE)
will be airing Friday at 2:00 and sunday at 2:30
on the sportsman channel. Everyone watch it, lance Walker and Clark Dixon will be in Kansas hunting Whitetail. Thanks again to everyone that has been watching and supporting our show.

We fished 5 days last week and filled the box every day. The tuna fishing has been good. We found some fish in open water 1 yellowfin was almost 140lbs. The wahoo have been hit and miss. We managed to weed through all the snapper and put a few porgies, v liners and snowy grouper in the boat my favorite. The amberjack have been easy to catch once you get pass the sharks. We picked up a few cobia while catching live bait and I noticed a few other boats that landed them. April was one of our best months for tuna last year as long as the weather is good the fishing has been steady. Hope the weather calms down so we can get back out on the water. Give us a call and come on down to Grand Isle. We have lodging right across from the beach and some of the best inshore and offshore fishing in the world.rnCapt. Lance

The fishing has been incredible this year. We did 2 overnight trips and filled both fish boxes and had to use the customers drink cooler to get the last few fish iced down. There was a rip 100 yards wide with lots of chicken dolphin we only spent a few minutes there it was still forming up. It should be a great year. We only have a few days left in May and June on the catamaran. I'm headed to Destin Tomorrow to pick up a 60 Hatteras that I will be chartering this summer and a 60 Bertram. Both boats will be ready to fish in a week. I will post more pictures when we get back. I will be offering 12 hour trips up to 72 hour trips. Lunch and dinner will be provided. Give us a call for a trip of a lifetime.rnrnCaptain Lance

We had a great trip this weekend on the new 60 hatteras. We left out of grand isle Saturday and headed offshore for the night. The conditions were a little tough with all the scattered grass and the confused current. Everyone caught a nice yellowfin a few blackfin and we headed in for some grouper amberjack and porgies. We caught a nice Warsaw some yellow edge grouper, snowy grouper and some porgies. We left the wreck headed to the rig and put in a nice limit of amberjack. I just had a cancelation for June 2 snapper season on the twin vee catamaran we also have openings on the new 60 foot sport fisher June 1,,3-11 come catch some red snapper while you can. The grouper and porgies have been biting commander.comrnLance Walkerrn225-445-1005

The fishing out of Grand Isle has been incredible so far this summer. The tuna are biting in their usual summertime pattern. We have been doing well during the day and incredible at night. We have been catching nice wahoo and mahi mahi on a rip that has formed offshore. The mangroves and cobia have been biting well, and we are also catching a few nice groupers and porgies. Also, we now charter two 60' sport fishers that have 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Both yachts are very comfortable and clean. These are luxury sport fishing yachts. We offer a variety of fishing charters on the sport fishers and the twin vee catamaran. We still have a few open days in July and August, which were productive months last year for yellowfin tuna and grouper. Last year we caught several yellowfin over 100lbs in October, if you are looking for a giant yellowfin tuna these are the months to be down here!rnWe had a cancellation on the catamaran for the weekend of the Tarpon Rodeo, and it is now a available the 24, 25, and 26.
