My great friends Chris Dagenhart and David Laiche joined me yesterday for an afternoon scouting trip on the DU. With windy conditions, finding clean water was the key. Fishing shallow reefs in the 1-3 ft range, we picked up fish at each stop we made. We ended the day with 34 trout and 2 big reds. Looking forward to this wind laying down.

Call me to get in on some of this great action!

My two friends, David Laiche and Craig Robichaux joined me to make the best of a Friday afternoon. It didn't take us long to get on the trout action as our first stop produced hungry trout. We found clean water at most locations we intended to fish today, but it seemed to be patchy in Dularge. Fishing several reefs, we ended the day catching 48 trout ranging between 15"-18". All fish were caught on plastics. The wind finally decided to lay down a little today compared to the breezy month of April. Only a box shot this evening as I forgot the camera at home. Give me a call to get in on the action!

Joining me for a quick afternoon scouting trip was Brady Girior. We started off in search of redfish, but they seemed to have lock jaw. Fishing a few locations, we finished the afternoon off catching 50 trout. All of the fish were caught on plastics and were in the 12"-17" range. Breezy conditions didn't stop the trout from eating as the fish had shrimp skipping all over the water. Looking forward to this wind laying down. Tight lines!

Put a spankin on the trout this afternoon as we had trout coming in the boat in all directions. Fishing with me today were Tyler Dupre and Brady Girior of Houma. It didn't take us long to put 75 nice trout and 1 redfish on ice. All of our fish were caught on tandem rigged plastics and were in the 16"-20" range. We also hooked up on several sharks today as they were just as hungry as the trout were. We left the trout biting every cast! There's nothing better than good fishing and good company! Good luck fishing!

Productive day despite tough conditions on Day 1 of the Houma Oilman's Rodeo. I had the pleasure of fishing with Steve Lane of Manson Gulf, JM Fail and Tommy Weeks of Weeks Marine. These guys had a great time finishing up with 65 nice trout in the box by 11am. Tommy Weeks (New Jersey) had never before caught this amount of fish in one day's catch. The smiles on these guy's faces while reeling in trout is what it's really all about! Thanks guys for being great company today and special thanks to Capt. Bill Lake for setting up the trip.

My heart and prayers go out to the friends and families of those involved in the horrific boating accident!

Day 2 of the Houma Oilman's Rodeo turned out to be a trout smashing morning! Had a second day of great company with Tommy Weeks and JM Fail of Weeks Marine, and Steve Lane of Manson Gulf. These guys had a blast catching doubles this morning and boating 100 beautiful trout by 11:50am. We had 6 fish slinging in the boat numerous times. The fish were eating anything you would throw in their paths, even if the baits were mangled. Thanks to my crew for an awesome two days of fishing in some tough conditions and a big thanks to Capt. Bill Lake for setting up the trip.

Non-stop action last night with a quick 75 fish limit in the boat. It was a little bumpy ride, but it paid off in the end. All fish fell victim to the LSU Bayou Chub. We never had double hook ups on our tandem rigs, but had many triple fish on at one time. Get in on some of this hot action! Good luck fishing and I hope you "Catch a Good Time!"

I decided to make an afternoon trout scout and it sure paid off with fast action. I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon fishing with my future wife, Annah Hebert. Fishing tandem rigged Bayou Chubs, we had trout coming in the boat 4 at a time. It didn't take us long to catch our 50 fish limit with trout in the 15"-20" range. If you have not had an opportunity to get in on some of this action, now is the time to get you some! Good luck fishing!

Trout frenzy on Friday morning down in Dularge. Joining me today were Carlton and Jan Frye from Minden, LA and David Laiche from Houma. It didn't take long to put our 100 fish on ice as we were headed to the dock at 9:30am. The first 25 fish were caught using tandem rigged Bayou Chubs and then the plastic bite came to a screeching hault. Not to worry as we busted out the live minnows to finish off our limit catching 4 fish at a time. Thanks to my crew for being great company and thanks to Jug's Seafood for supplying our live bait. Good luck fishing!

Today I had the pleasure of fishing with Mike Perera, Pricilla Mena, and Shannon and Kathy Richard. The guys from Gator Tank Rentals and their lovely ladies put the hurting on the trout this morning catching 100 beautiful trout by 10:30. We didn't get the first bite on plastics today, but thanks to Jug's Seafood we carried live minnows as a backup plan. It didn't take this crew long to have fish flopping in the boat with 3-4 fish on at a time. All fish were in the 15"-21" range and fell hard for those live minnows. My crew decided they were ready to call it quits at 10:30am and head back to the dock. Thanks to Capt. Marty LaCoste and Capt. Anthony Kyzar for setting this trip up. Awesome crew, awesome weather, and an awesome time! Good luck fishing and I hope you "Catch a Good Time!"
