Had a few assistance calls this weekend. None rnof our customers had limits and most had mixed rnbags of drum, reds, and trout. Capt Hot Rod did a rncall in Delacroix yesterday and said the shrimp rnwere popping all over Terre Boufes right at dark. rnFall really is my favorite time to fish. Capt Rob rnon the westbank has been about equally as busy rnas we are on the east side and told me most rnpeople are catching reds and drum over there as rnwell. Lake P. Fishin
Got to do a little afternoon fishing yesterday and decided that Lake B. area was where I was going to do it. I haven't fished the lake in a long time, so my plan was to head out the Rigolets to Lake borgne. I left from Eden Isles and headed toward the 90 bridge and saw a few liar birds mixed in with sea gulls diving right off the channel in Lake P. I thought probably gaff top but let's see. We casted matrix shad under a cork and the drags started screaming. We quickly had 6 fat reds in the boat. Decided to try the i-10 bridge and the water was beautiful. Hundreds of jacks were putting on a nature display a few hundred feet off the bridge. But i-10 is again holding drum, reds and sheephead. We did also cath a 5lb speck there as well.......but that was the only trout of the day. All in all there were fish at every stop, bait everywhere and beautiful water. The salinity was up and we even saw white shrimp popping. Good to see the Lake producing again! And Fall fishing is right around the corner and our rnSaints are ready to make a Super Bowl run. It's rnthat time of year again and we're running our rnWho Dat Special- 14 months for $169 (2 Free rnmonths) for the month of September, As rnalways, new and renewing members can take rnadvantage of the special. ethanol
Got to do a little fishing lately with Capt. Mike Gallo in the Biloxi Marsh. Had tons of fun catching redfish, but he can see them so much better than I can. I'm gonna try new polarized glasses as its the only excuse I have......all joking aside, we threw back a lot of fish last week catching and releasing reds.....of course I kept a few for Mother's Day but he put us on more than I wanted to clean......each day we had 3-4 people on the boat who fish a lot and didn't want to keep anymore than what my mother needed. Great Captain and an even better person. As for the Sea Tow calls, its been pretty repetitious.......lots of bad fuel which leads to the ethanol conversation many fisherman have been having......not good gentlemen.....we see way too much of it and I too have written David Vitter amongst others but man......Why is this happening?.....common sense has officially flown out the window.....Hope it gets resolved for all of our sake......its just not fair....but anyway, we'll just spend a lot more money trying to do all preventative maintenance on our boats to try to keep the ethanol bug away......and we'll be ready if anyone needs assitance......call us or go online and get your Sea Tow membership if you don't already have it! great wall
Hit the great wall on saturday and sunday just a little before lunch on both days. Saturday 2 of us had our limit of reds in about 15-20 minutes. It was that fast........Sunday, in the mood for more of the same, conditions changed.....3 of us were only able to boat 11 keepers in about 4 hours. We stayed at the wall in the icw trolling all around jigging Matrix Shads. Fun stuff and Sunday's trip was highlighted by my girlfriend catching her first fish ever......she is very proud of herself and is now hooked.....we tried Michoud slip, the ship channel and bienvenue looking for trout and caught 1 total for both days.....Sea Tow New Orleans (504) 301-4545 Westbank (504) 433-4869

Great wall
We went to the great wall tuesday and thursday afternoon last week. We launched at Chef on tues and bayou bievenue on thurs. There was a barge blocking the hole in the wall on both days. We just fished the hot water canal and the dolphins on the wall at the ICW. Not much action in the hot water canal..trolling around the wall from dolphin to dolphin jigging Matrix Shads produced our best results...tuesday 2 of us caught a box of 16 mixed between trout and reds in the late evening.....thurs we hopped on with Mr. Billy from Dockside and repeated tuesday's float plan and 4 of us caught our limit of reds in about 3 or 4 hours......not fast by any means but steady and fun...only 1 trout on thurs....tried Michoud slip and a few other spots in that area looking for trout but no takers...I also wanted to pass along that I have a 22 ft Gravois for sale at Boat Stuff in slidell (2011 300 hp yamaha with 401 hrs and 2+ years warranty left) if interested just give them a call.....Sea Tow New Orleans (504) 301-4545 Westbank (504) 433-4869

your prayers
It is with a heavy heart that I share this news about one of our Sea Tow brothers. Your prayers are appreciated:
On, Tuesday April 23rd our Sea Tow Captain from Atlantic City was moving the crew boat named the Cape Hatteras when an incident occurred. This afternoon, Monday, April 29, the vessel has been recovered and searched. The location of Capt. Dave McAuliffe is still unknown. We are saddened by this news and are asking for continued prayers for his family and friends, as well his Sea Tow family.
