Special
Been fishing the local marshes in slidell area and catching plenty reds. Myself and a buddy tried to go get em thursday and left eden isles only to see bad weather all around. We decided to wait it out in goheagens canal and see if it would pass. Started catching fillet size croaker one after another in a slight rain and just went home and fried up 36 nice croakers. Weather cleared up later but grease was already hot. A rare treat we sometimes forget about because croaker fishing is something we rarely do. And on a Sea Tow note Don't forget to take advantage of our WHO DAT rnSPECIAL. 14 months for $169 (2 Free months) rnJust call us locally or sign up online at rnwww.seatow.com and enter source code: WHO rnto get the special. There is still no word on the rnSea Tow Twin Vee but we are very happy rnfor Mo to get his boat back. We are also rnvery hopeful it leads to the recovery of rnour vessel. The guys that were in rnposession of mo's boat are locked up on rnfelony charges. Thank You!

Low tides
Low low tides have been keeping our boats very rnbusy. Tides are even lower now than they have rnbeen all winter. Be careful navigating traditionally rnshallow areas as the depth is probably 2 feet rnless than normal lows in many cases. 4th of july rnweekend is approaching and we will have all of rnour assets dedicated to members only due to the rntraditional high call volume on this holiday rnweekend. Be safe, wear pfds, and designate a rnsober skipper. Be sure to get your membership if rnyou dont already have one! Sea Tow New rnOrleans (504) 301-4545. Westbank (504) 433-rn4869. seatow.com

Busy on the water
Fishing everywhere must be great because we've been busy. Capt. Rob on the westbank has been as well. We've seen quite a bit of water in fuel/ethanol issues so far this spring. For those who haven't done so already remember to change those fuel/water separaters. Also if you don't already have a Sea Tow membership call us locally or go to www.seatow.com to join. Far too often we get calls from people who were told they had sea tow through their insurance company. And that is just not the case. Get your membership and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with being a sea tow member. Sea Tow New Orleans (504) 301-4545 Westbank (504) 433-4869

Great Boat Insurance for fisherman
Just wanted to pass along some really good information on boat insurance for the new year. Sea Tow Intl, our franchisor not us, got into the boat insurance business some years back. After Katrina, it wasn't a friendly policy(price wise) to people on the Gulf Coast and this is why you've never heard me speak of it before. Now, I believe its the BEST policy on the water for local fisherman. Myself, friends and family have all been using Sea Insure for the past few years and we couldn't be happier. For example, my LASS partner just got his Majek redfishing boat insured for $45k for $399 for the entire year. All Sea Tow members automatically get a discount. The policy has 300k in liability instead of 100k, and is the only policy I know of that covers mechanical breakdown. Yes, mechanical breakdown. For example, my personal bay boat's Yamaha 150 warranty expired over a year ago, but if I blow my engine I could make a claim for a new powerhead. (obviously I would have to keep up with all maintenance but I do and most on here do as well) The company and policies are designed for boaters by boaters. And remember Sea Tow members get a great discount so you will have great insurance on your boat as well as Assurance knowing Sea tow is standing by 24/7 in the event you may need our help. You can go to www.seatow.com and click on the insurance link to get a quick, free, easy quote. As for the fishing we made 3 trips to Delacroix in the last week and Capt. Jack put us on them every trip!

Fall
Had a few assistance calls this weekend. None rnof our customers had limits and most had mixed rnbags of drum, reds, and trout. Capt Hot Rod did a rncall in Delacroix yesterday and said the shrimp rnwere popping all over Terre Boufes right at dark. rnFall really is my favorite time to fish. Capt Rob rnon the westbank has been about equally as busy rnas we are on the east side and told me most rnpeople are catching reds and drum over there as rnwell. Give us a call if you need a membership rnSea Tow New Orleans (504)301-4545. rnWestbank (504) 433-4869
