Cajun Fishing Charters
Nice day catching reds in the marsh. Gold spoons in the clear water. My guys got together from as close as Baton Rouge and as far as Wisconsin. They did not care about trout, they wanted red.
I was hoping to be trout fishing, knowing that it would be on fire!!!
We put redfish number 25 in the box by 10am and also caught a few nice trout in a foot of water on spoons as well. The fishing is busting loose right now with the weather warming up. Give me a shout to come get in on the excitement..

Cajun Fishing Charters
Two windy days with the Stanford family from Tupelo MS. Yesterday we grinded out a four man limit . No shortage of fish in the marsh .. Hard to get them to eat anything.
I was on the ladder hitting them in the nose with the whole tackle box.. One out of 10 would bite . Fresh shrimp and minnows onboard as well. Today we put 12 on the boat and called it a day at 11 .. So much for summer time . We will be wanting this weather back come July...

Cajun Fishing Charters
Mike and Mike from Indiana got Rained out today in Alexandria . They were coming to Houma to do some sight seeing . They called me to go out on a last minute fishing trip.
With rain on the horizon we went out anyway.
Glad we did as we busted up the redfish . Gold spoons and Cocodrie cocahoes were the ticket .

Toldeo Hawgs
Caught these hawgs last week at Toledo Bend.
1/2 oz golden shiner spinnerbaits in 3'of water around
Lilly stems. 3/8 oz Blue/black slam dunk jigs on
Cypress trees in 4-5' of water. Lucky craft Sammy topwaters.. Lots of beds empty or with small bucks . We even saw fry on some beds up north.
Did catch a big sacalait on a spinnerbait.
Pulled out the ultralight and caught about 10 before
They shut down for the evening.

Cajun Fishing Charters
I had Dereck Douglas and his buddy Preston down
On Sunday. Preston had never caught a redfish or trout and wanted to get into saltwater fishing. He is now hooked on redfish and trout. We picked at the trout , getting 16 on High Life Swimmers. When the sun got up where we could see we tore into the redfish. Found one pocket about 100 yards long and worked it back and forth for a 3-man limit by 11am..
Redfish caught on spinnerbaits, gold spoons and high life swimmers. Steady action all morning. I am booking Half day trips AM or PM for $400 for (3) anglers .

Windy Thursday Redfish
Eric Sirls and his Dad came all the way from Kentucky to catch a redfish....it was windy but we worked hard and put our limit of nice redfish in the boat. Real hard to sight fish in white caps and overcast. Did a lot of blind casting with gold spoons and topwater. When the sun would pop out you could catch a few looking at them...
Fish were scattered all over the marsh with the high and rising water. Heart breaking that it was too windy to get back on those big topwater trout..

Cajun Fishing Charters
Had the crew from California and Texas today.
Trout on top water, reds on Cocodrie
Cocahoes and Net bait paca craws(bass bait)... The biggest trout was right at five pounds, caught her on a 8' swimbait that I found on the clearance rack at Academy(I knew it would catch a big trout)Trout were on shell reefs in 1-2' of water. The redfish were in clear water over slime grass. No large schools yet just singles and pairs. Bait presentation was very critical. You had to put it on their nose. I was using a three foot step ladder to get a better view. You could pitch it on their nose 10 feet away from the boat and watch them inhale it.

CCA STAR TOURNAMENT
The CCA STAR starts next month, please buy a $25 ticket. My customer would have won a bayboat with this 6.04LB trout that he caught while fishing with me last summer. But he did not buy a ticket.
Every year there are tagged redfish and winning trout caught by fishermen with no ticket.

Mr. Tommy caught this 6 LB trout last summer on a charter in my boat and did not have a ticket. It would have won him a new bay boat. He caught the fish on a live croaker carolina rigged around a shallow platform. CCA used the picture for their brochure. Good Luck Fishing.

Windy Day Reds
I had Mike Hughes and his son Ethan
down this afternoon from Alabama. We found some
clear water and some nice redfish. We caught
our fish on gold spoons and Netbait paca craws (bass bait)
on a jighead. We kept our 15 reds and
played catch and release...
I am running half day trips for (3) for $400..

Cajun Fishing Charters
I took my son Cade out on Sunday. We was hoping to get back on the nice trout we found Friday in the shallow ponds. I had the topwaters rigged up and ready. Well the weather change moved the fish back into deeper water. We were still able to catch some nice fish but not on top as we had hoped. They wanted the high life swimmer, color did not matter. A great day spent on the water with my son.
