About Us

Cajun Fishing and Hunting Charters - Specializing in coastal fishing for speckled trout, redfish and seasonal duck hunting/fishing combos in Southeast Louisiana.
Now offering Night time bow fishing and fresh water guided fishing trips.

Welcome to Sportsman's Paradise. I am located in Houma and fish out of the Cocodrie and Dularge areas. Houma is about 50 miles west of New Orleans.  I offer inshore fishing for redfish, speckled trout, flounder, sheep head and black drum.  Freshwater fishing for largemouth bass, sacalait(crappie to you yankee types.) bream, and catfish.  We also have night-time bow fishing trips where we target redfish, black drum, sheep head and alligator gar.

My duck hunting and fishing combo trips are very popular. I call them a BLAST AND CAST.  Spend a morning in the duck blind shooting at a wide variety of ducks from gadwall, widgeon, green winged, blue winged teal, pintail, and our native mottled ducks to divers such as redheads, canvasbacks and bluebills; followed with an afternoon of catching trophy redfish and speckled trout.

All trips are all inclusive, fuel, tackle, rods and reels and bow fishing equipment included.Half day or full day trips. Please let me know if you have any special requests so I can make your trip world class. Louisiana fishing is always good, but I will do everything that I can to make it great!!

I had Mr. Skip Walters and Mr. Wayne today. They came all the way from Tennessee to catch some Louisiana redfish.rnAnd catch reds they did !! Nothing fancy.. Just Sight casting at 20-30' redfish in less than a foot of water with 1/2 oz Johnson rngold spoons. Great day with new found fishing buddies.rnCapt. Louque Family Day in Dularge
I had the pleasure of fishing with Daniel Louque two days in a row. We smacked a bunch of bass and a few Sacalait yesterday. Then today his wife, daughter and crew came back for some trout and redfish action. A slow but steady trout bite with high life swimmers and matrix shad. Daniel caught one trout pushing four pounds. We boxed 20 nice trout and .went soak some shrimp catching a few reds. Then we made a move and found the redfish stacked.. Glow and chartreuse bayou chubs on a 1/4 oz jig head on the drop from 2 feet to 8 feet.. Incoming tide at that!!rnMain bayou with lots of current..with an inside bend in an eddy..that was the pattern for the reds. The trout were over clam shells in only a few feet of water. Look for clear water and you will find some trout. They messed up Lake Decade with all the dredging . Mud bottom now and it takes a while for the water to clean up .rnPut our 25 reds in the box real quick and headed for the cold beer..rnGreat day in Dularge today with great company .rnThese guys can put the fish in the boat ..rnCapt. Freshwater Smackdown Today
FOGGY ... Today. Be careful on the water this weekend, it will be dense fog again tommorrow. We left from Falgout canal and ran to the Copasaw area for a great day of fishing .rnWe found clean water and hungry bass . The best bait today was a 1/4 oz golden shiner slam dunk spinnerbait with a willow leaf blade. The post spawn fish have moved off the bank and are holding on the grass beds. We also found some nice Sacalait in the same canals that held bass. Good Luck Fishing this weekend.rnCapt. Anthonyrnwww.cajunfishingandhuntingcharters.comrn985-870-5909

A little father and son Time
Great day with my son !!!We slept late and launched at 8am.rnWe found the Redfish tourney boats in our honey hole today .rnSo we did not want to mess them up. Went scouting and found another huge school of redfish !! Tails out of the water in every direction. Same deal as yesterday . Gold spoons and spinnerbaits did the trick . With the low water they were not on the banks , but on the edges of the snot grass. Bright red beautiful fish. Lots of 30-35' fish in a foot of water today.rnrn985-870-5909rnwww. Redfish Reunion
Great day on the water today with Mr. Edwin and his wife Kathy. This is their second trip with me. They came all the way from Indiana to catch some redfish. The first pond we ran into was loaded with big reds running in every direction. Those suckers did not want to bite. We caught one for every 20 we cast to, I\'m looking at the fish 20\' from the boat, passed the bait on their noses. We made a move and found another school of fish that was hungry. We caught fish on gold spoons , spinnerbaits and bunker high life swimmers.rnGreat to get back after the redfish after all the bass and Sacalait we have been catching.rnCapt. Awesome Day !!
Awesome day today out of Bobs Bayou Black Marina. We had a great week of fishing , but today was insane !!rnJoining me was Larry Landry and Lynn Hoggatt.rnWe started at daylight and found a slow but steady bite, with the fish anywhere from right on the bank to 5 feet off. (All the ones that were off the bank were big females loaded with eggs.) rnWe also caught numerous bass while sacaliat fishing today. We caught some nice bass and bunches of 4' long bass eveyrwhere you went...rnWe caught a few sacalait in every canal we went in today. Then we found the honey hole...Everyone in the boat hooked up with big slabs. They were right on the bank. 1/32 oz jig head with a black and chartreuse curly tail about a foot under a cork. 87 sacalait and our 3-man limit of bass was the final tally today.. This front will slow things down a little but it will be back on in a few days. Give me a call if you want to get in on this spring time action. We could actually do redfish, trout, bass and sacalait all in the same day!!!rnrnCapt . Anthony rnwww.cajunfishingandhuntingcharters.comrn985-870-5909

Sacalait Smackdown!!
What a pretty day for a BBQ or a seafood boil, but not for a freshwater trip... You would think..with the high pressure and blue skies. I had Ben Hebert and his friend Heather today. We started where we left them biting yesterday . It was game on ..until the sun popped out and the bite quit . The only thing we had going for us was we knew where they were at. We put the power pole down and punched through the grass next to the bank .. We were right on the fish , and you could see them eat your bait by the boat.rnReally nice Sacalait today. We quit early with 28 big Sacalait and a few bass .rnCapt. Anthonyrnwww.cajunfishingandhuntingcharters.comrn985-870-5909

Freshwater Fishing

Windy Day Freshwater Smackdown!!
I had Marc Dix and his buddy William today for a great trip!! We started in the cypress trees where we left them biting yesterday. It was a little slower but we put 20 nice sacalait in the live well. I think there were not many new fish moving up with the cold front that blew through. So we made a move to the marshes of turtle bayou. Lots of boat in the best canals, so we made a move to the bayou penchant area. We fished all the normal hot spots, bluebird canal, trappers, etc and caught a few fish. I was talking to a bass fishermen and asked them if they had seen any sacalait being caught. He told me they did catch one on a 3/8 oz spinner bait earlier..I got excited!!!he explained where the canal was and it happened to be one that I was going to try. We loaded up and went there and found the big slab sacalait stacked up!! On the bank, your bait had to touch the bank, so if there is grass and lillies you did not get a bite.rnit did not matter what color tube jig..rnI even caught a really nice bass today that was pushing five pounds..full of eggs right on the bank..she was released to fight again another day.rnWe normally run saltwater trips but if you would like to come see the great fresh water fishing we have to offer please give me a call. The spring time fresh water fishing is so awesome, I would love to show you guys a great time on the water.rnHeaded back out in the morning for another fresh water adventure. I won't sleep again tonight...rnCapt. Anthonyrnwww.cajunfishingandhuntingcharters.comrn985-870-5909

Sacalait , bass and goggle-eye .rnThe fish are on the bank and the spawn is in full swing.rnLook for any clean banks that don't have floating rnGrass and that's where the are. Black and chartreuse rnWooly booger solid body tube jigs on a 1/32 ozrnHead under a small cork. rnI would love to show you Guys the great action .rnCall me..rnCapt. Spring Sacalait
Just something about spring time and fresh water fishing!!Love the sacalait and bass fishing in the marshes south of Houma. They have been biting when we get a few warm days in between the cold winter days. We have found the fish on cypress tree and laydowns. We have been fishing with a black and chartreuse tube jig on a 1/32oz jighead, under a cork. It is called a super jig, a bigger body tube bait, that I found online or at Xpress Tackle in Des Allemands.rnStart on the deep end of laydowns and fish all the way up to the shallow trunk near the bank. These fish are ready to spawn and are doing so as soon as we get a few days of warm weather.rnI am available for fresh water and saltwater trips, give me a call. rnCapt. Blast and Cast
I had William Hynson and his hunting buddy Terry down from Alabama and Mississippi for a blast and cast Monday and Tuesday. Monday we woke up to fog and rain so I told them it was useless to get in the duck blind. We waited until the sun rose and went in search for some fish. It did not take long to find them as Capt. Olden had put a hurting on them the day before. When we rounded the point to the hotspot, there were trout literally jumping out of the water!!!rnI told the guys to work on them quick as we could see the bad weather heading our way. We put number 75 trout in the boat after just 30 minutes of fishing. Double rigged cocodrie cocahoes and it did not matter what color. We just decided to move in closer to the point and found the reds, drum and sheephead stacked up as well. Fish every cast on some fresh shrimp under a cork.rnWe mad a run and beat the worse of the weather..Mr. Terry asked me if we were going to wait out the weather and go back...william looked in the 120 qt. ice chest and said where in the hell would we put them..lolrnTuesday we had a pretty good duck hunt and got right back on the fish in the same spot..loaded up again on trout, reds, sheephead and drum.rnWe had one group of 20 grays come in so low and close that it sent goose bumpsrnSatisfied customers.rnCapt. Blast and Cast
Blast and cast today with my wife and son. Not exactly the best duck hunting weather , but we did shoot a few and miss a few as well . I think I shoot Better as clean up than the first shot...the grays really responded to calling today .rnYou have got to have a duck commander gadwall call on your lanyard if you hunt the marsh. rnMy wife wants a shotgun for Christmas.. rnThis could be an interesting development!!rnWe left early, caught the falling tide and the trout were stacked rnWe had 75 nice trout a couple of reds and flounder.rnAll on double rigged cocodrie cocahoes .rnThe high life tackle jig heads really keep the tails on your hook rnCapt.
