Slow Afternoon Trout Bite
We made a afternoon trip with a crew of four from Texas and La. The winds were blowing stuff out the West which is not good. Our first location found stained but fishable water. We hooked only a few trout, so we moved. We found better water and a better bite that only lasted 15 minutes. Our next five stops not a bite as the fish seemed to be in lockjaw mode. I decided to make a long run and change zip codes for the rest of the evening. We tucked away in a protected area and started picking away at the Specks. Corks seemed to work best here with several coming tight lined slowly on Matrix Shad Ultraviolet. We fished till after the sun went down and rolled into the dock as it got dark. Good times once again with this crew, thanks for the repeat business guys. rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Cold & Windy Trout Slam
We suited up for the cold ride to the trout grounds and waited for light to depart! Upon deploying the Motorguide Xi5 I noticed the water looked clean despite the strong North wind. We moved around in the 6 ft depths and shortly all three of us hooked up at the same time!! We all had big smiles and thought the switch was on! Well, we picked away to about 15 fish. We made several moves trout Fishing and soaking shrimp with not much luck. With 21 trout and a red in the K2, we decided to circle back to where we had caught the most fish. Well the plan paid off, as the trout turned on! We had the big yellow mouths jumping into the Bluewave one after another. The specks ate up our Green Hornet Matrix Shad slowly tight-lined. Despite the wind and the cold, we prevailed. Thanks guys for another great day. rnrnCapt Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Solid day of Catching on the Du
Tom Jeffrey and family were back onboard the Big Bluewave with me today. Our first location found a few Specks, reds, and a lost big ole green trout. Second location had numerous rat reds with only one keeper, time to move. Third stop we found specks willing to bite over shallow oyster reefs. Fourth stop we pull up and it's every cast over a 3 ft reef. We did plenty moving to get a good box. Every fish came tight lined on Matrix Shad lures in various colors. We tried throwing a cork without any luck. Thanks guys for the continued business. rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

All about the Kids having fun
John Weeks from Lufkin Texas came down to bring his boys fishing. We found a slow bite first thing in the morning with the tide barely moving. We picked away at the fish until the bite went dead. Our next location found a better falling tide, but no better of a bite. We picked away as we never found a concentration of fish. Every move we made found a few fish just scattered about. We worked hard for our catch, most fish were caught tight lined. We tried shrimp on the bottom and under corks at four different locations without a single bite. Upon arriving back to the dock the Boys said it was their best trip ever, that's all that counts to me!! Thanks guys. rnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Patience was Key to Catching
Andrew Robichaux and Dr Mike Romaguera joined me on the big Bluewave. We found a lot of boat traffic at our first location and a real slow bite. We made a move and started catching fish 360 degrees around the boat until the Bite played out. We started drifting over a area in 4ft of water with no luck, time to move. I moved to deeper water and found a decent school of fish in 10 ft of water. The bite was slow but steady, patience was key. These fish bit tightlined and under a cork. Shrimp Creole Matrix worked best under a cork and green hornet, Limbo Slice, and Ultraviolet worked best tightlined. We ended the day just 7 fish shy of our three man limit and had some green trout and 1 red. Great day with great company. Thanks guys. rnrnJan and Feb dates still available and looks to be great fishing!rnrnCapt Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Trout Explosion
I jumped onboard with one of my best friends since high school Brandon Grezaffi for a late afternoon trip. I knew the water temps had come up and the trout should be feeding. We had a good incoming tide and calm winds. As soon as we pulled up and stopped it was fish on just about every cast. If you weren't reeling in a fish you were missing one. The trout could not resist our Matrix Shad in Holy Joely and Limbo Slice slowly tight lined. Fish were so stacked it didn't matter where you threw, just good as it gets. Don't miss out, call now to get on the action while it's hot. rnrnrnCapt Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Slow redfish Bite
Dr Deep Chadha and his niece and nephew were back onboard with me. We slept in later again as the temperature was in the 20's first thing in the morning. I just knew it would be easy limits just as the day before! As soon as I pulled up and made the first cast a redfish hit the Holy Joely Matrix Shad within two seconds!! I thought wow, this will be real quick!! Well, I was wrong!! Not one other bite for almost two hours. We moved around all over then finally started catching. All single hook ups with one double hook up. The fish seemed to be in just one spot and with two other boats there we could not get on them good. No limit, but we ended up with a decent mess of fish and had a handful of throwbacks. The kids had fun once we started catching and warmed up!! Always a pleasure fishing with this crew, thanks Dr Chadha. rnrnrnCapt Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Easy as it gets Redfish Limits
Cold weather had the redfish stacked up like sardines. I helped out Capt T with Bobby Spradling's big crew. We slept in late and got up around 8 am. We waited till the temperature was closer to 30 degrees before heading out!! In no time once the Motorguide Xi5 was deployed it was fish on. Limbo Slice and Ultraviolet Matrix Shad went to work quickly. Tight lining the lures slowly is what the fish wanted. We had our 25 fish iced down in less than one hour, then played catch and Release. My crew caught 50 plus fish before we headed back to the lodge. Good as it gets when the temps get cold. rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Easy Trout Limits
Day two with Brandon and Brook Davis, Randy and Tyler didn't make it. We were greeted with perfect conditions and had a feeling the bite would be on!! Our first cast's produced bites and fish. We found a slow bite with the tide not moving. A short move and we had them coming into the big Bluewave every cast!! Ultraviolet and Limbo Slice Matrix Shad tight lined accounted for all of our fish. We played some catch and release then left the fish biting. Thanks guys for the continued business. rnrnCapt. Dularge Trout
Dr Randy Davis and his three son's were back with me today. 'Catching' was the goal!! We fished three different areas catching trout and a few bass at each stop. No big concentration or every cast type action at any stop. We plucked away at a decent box then soaked crabs before coming in. Randy hooked up with one big nasty black drum, then we took it to the dock. Majority of all our fish were caught tight lining either Limbo Slice or Ultraviolet Matrix Shad with a Crappie Psychic trout trailer. Five fish came from under a cork with shrimp creole. rnrnCapt Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Children's Hospital Trip
I donated a trip to Children's hospital and Robert Falgoust and his son Justin joined me for the trip today. We knew we had a good four hours before the winds were forecasted to pick up from the approaching front. I thought for sure the fish would be eating up like crazy prior to the front. Well our first stop found a slow bite, it seemed like we were getting some steady bites for a little while. Then they turned off like a light switch. We moved around the area with no luck, so we moved on. As soon as we pulled up to our second location we hooked a fish as soon as the bait hit the water. A few more fish and it was over. Our next three stops not a bite. One more stop and we found a few more fish before the sky turned black and the wind picked up. We decided to take it to the dock before the weather got any worst. Slow day but the guys went home with a good bag of fillets. I rescheduled tomorrow's trip due to the 25-30 mph winds forecasted. Thanks again guys. rnrn985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

First Time Fishing
Repeat customers from Alexandria joined me today. First cast of the day and Michelle reels in a brute of a redfish!! This was her first time ever fishing, so everyone was pretty pumped!! We started picking away at the trout, much slower than the previous day. Ended up being a stick and move type day, as every stop was 2-4 fish. 6 fish was the most we caught at one stop. We covered a lot of water trying to find a good bite, but never did. Still a fun day with these guys putting together a mess of trout. Ultra Violet and Limbo Slice Matrix tight lined produced the majority of our fish. rnrnCapt Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Catch and Release Day
Paul iremonger and his son from Seattle joined me today for a catch and release trip. As soon as the big Yamaha shut down and the MotorGuide Xi5 was deployed it was fish on!! Nice trout were hitting the deck. I kept enough for myself for supper and everything else was released. We drifted down a bayou catching trout the entire way on Ultra Violet Matrix Shad, tight lined with a slow retrieve. I moved to a 3 ft reef and instantly started catching nice 14-17 inch trout. We had a few keeper reds mixed in also that were released. After catching 50 plus trout I brought them to soak some shrimp and we caught some puppy drum, bay snapper and reds. 100% success as the guys had the time of their lives. Thanks to my good buddy Capt Kyzar for setting up this trip. rnrnCapt Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Good Times Catching Trout
Paul Eastin and family were back with me today with two boats running. The bite was slower today than it has been, but we plucked away all day. Ultra Violet, and Glow #Matrixshad tight lined worked best all day. Big thanks to Capt T Miller for running the second boat with the group and Capt 'TLUV' Lovell for taking care of my good customer Robert Utrera and crew. Everyone had a great time, as it was a 100% success. rnrn985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.comrncaptmartyl@yahoo.com

Fun Time with the Kids
After deer hunting for three days with my son, Capt LB Barr and I decided to do a fun trip with our boys. We slept in late and departed at 9am. We found water temps to be 50.9 and a sluggish trout bite. As the day warmed up the trout Started to bite better. We put together a good box of trout before heading in at 1 pm. Every fish caught tight lined! Limbo Slice Matrix was the bait of choice. Great time with our boys, always a good time LB!!!rnrnCapt Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishigcharters.com
