Cajun Industries Do The Du 3-22-15
Day two with Cajun Industries staying at the Reel Inn. Windier conditions and a strong incoming tide made the fishing tough. We still found clean water and tons of mullet where we caught yesterday, but the trout wanted nothing to do with us. The search began and we just pecked away at the trout. A lonely red and flounder found their way into the Big Bluewave also. Not sure if the fish turned on with the falling tide, as our crew had to be back for 11:00 to make their way back to Texas. Green Hornet Matrix Shad tight lined and Shrimp Creole under a cork is all we are fishing with right now (1/4 oz Golden eye jig heads). The guys had a incredible stay and can't wait to come back. With the best lodging, Chefs, food, Boats, dock facilities, Capts, Etc....we have it all Down In Dularge. Thanks everyone for a great two days. rnrnrnGive us a call to get your trips on the booksrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Busting The Trout!! 3-21-15
We fished a big group with Cajun Industries out of the Reel Inn today. Great day busting up the trout and some reds. The trout were on fire today and the guys had a blast reeling them in. Once the K2 was full, we went chase a few reds. Drifted one bank hooking into six reds. It was like the icing on the cake!! The guys loved every second of reeling in all the fish. Green Hornet Matrix Shad tight lined and Shrimp Creole Matrix Shad under a cork did all the damage (1/4 oz Golden eye jig heads), fishing in 2-4 ft depths. Thanks guys for such a great day. rnrnrnNot many summer dates left open. Call now before you miss the boat!!!!rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Dularge Trout R Biting! 3-20-15
Jerry Fowler Sr. was onboard today with his sons Mike and Jerry Jr celebrating his 74th birthday. Our first stop found a slow bite, we made a short move and it was on. Every cast almost as soon as the Green Hornet Matrix Shad hit the water. We reeled in fish steady for over a hour before the bite slowed down. We made a few more moves with no luck then called it a day at 11:00. Great time fishing with these guys. Thanks Creig for setting up the trip. rnrnThe trout bite has turned on and we are booking up solid. Don't wait to book your trip! rnrnrnCapt. Silver Lining 3-18-15
We had a big group stay at the lodge last night celebrating a bachelor party. The guys met us down at the dock at daybreak. We loaded up all the Blue-waves and were off looking for trout. Our first stop only found a few fish willing to bite. Our second stop found the 'Silver'. The trout were stacked up and in a feeding frenzy. It was every-cast as soon as the baits hit the water. My crew were in heaven and every one had big smiles on their face. The K2 was filling up quickly, then it happened. A local crabber moved in to check a trap and shut the bite down cold. We waited and drifted around and never got back on them. Needless to say I wasn't happy, as this was the best bite we have seen in quite a while. We moved around checking a few other areas just pecking away at the fish. Green Hornet Matrix Shad tight lined on a 1/4 Golden Eye jig head was our best producer today. All our boats produced fish and the customers could not have been happier. We look forward to their return. Thanks guys!!rnrnrnBig thanks to Capt 'RD' Dupont and Capt 'T' Miller for running the other two boats showing the guys a great time. rnrnNow is the time to get your trip booked. Dates are getting limited so don't wait!rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Speckled Trout On the Du 3-16-15
I had the pleasure of fishing with David White today (owner of Arctic Ice) and Jared Serigne (Producer of Louisiana Sportsman TV). We filmed another show for Louisiana Sportsman TV. If you have not tried out Arctic Ice, your missing out. Incredible products that keeps your fish box cooler and ice last longer, and completely eliminates the need for ice in your drink and food box's. Our target species was Speckled Trout this morning. We worked over South Dularge hard and put together a decent box considering how the bite has been. Green Hornet Matrix Shad slow rolled in the current is what the trout wanted. Once the bite tapered out we switched gears to reds. David hooked the biggest red of his life going 28 inches, he was super excited!! David also hooked another red before we headed in. Thanks guys for a incredible day on the water. The trout bite is picking up with the warm temps, and things are looking good for a great Spring run. rnrnrnCapt. Down In Dularge 3-8-15
I had the pleasure of fishing with Sammy and Becky Marcel. After smoking the Reds Friday we figured we would repeat, but the Reds had other plans!!! They were extremely finicky and didn't want to bite like the day before. We could see their wakes and would watch them follow the baits and short strike them but refused to eat. We did however trick a handful into taking the Matrix Shad. They wanted nothing to do with bait shrimp as every fish we caught was either on Purple Haze Vortex or Green Hornet Matrix. Even the tide switch didn't turn them on hot. After working the area over hard it was time to move on. We fished several other areas with plastics and shrimp with no luck. Low and behold our final stop found some specks willing to bite the Green Hornet. The strikes were hard and several hit the bait as soon as it hit the water. It sure was nice seeing some silver back in the mix. The trip was a learning experience for Sammy, and I believe it worked out well. We covered a lot of area fishing different techniques and they went home with plenty fresh fillets to boot. Thanks guys for the great company out on the water. rnrnrnCapt. Meat Haul 3-7-15
I helped out Capt Gerald Ellender today with a five boat group. We found the Reds stacked like sardines, and loaded the Bluewave down quickly. Multiple double hookups, a quick limit, and very happy customers!! I called the other boats over and the party began!! Every boat limited out and we left them biting. Incredible day to say the least. Matrix and Vortex Shad busted the Reds like they always do. Thanks guys for a great day and thanks Capt G Ellender for setting up the trip. rnrnCapt Marty LaCostern985/856/4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

WhatEver Bites!!! 2-21-15
Barry Batsin with MMR joined us with a crew for his bachelor party. We knew the conditions would be tough with the 30 mph winds. Soaking shrimp on the bottom was the plan to load up the box, then drift the marsh to see if we could catch some reds. Both plans worked, as the guys reeled in fish all morning!!! Once the K2 was pretty full, we hit the ponds and started drifting. With the water so high, we could get anywhere we wanted. Purple Haze Vortex Shad on a gold spinner put a hurt on the reds!! Singles and some double hook ups with some stout pond reds. The guys had a blast and we ended up with right at 120 fish between three boats for the crew. We made a good day out of a bad day!!!rnrnBig thanks to Capt T Miller and Capt T Lovell for running the other two boats, everyone had a great time. rnrnCapt. Magnificent Day Catching 2-11-15
Toby Rich with Whitliejo Specialty was back with me today , Mickey & Herbert Turner, and Kerry LaCoste with Bull Dog Services also joined us. Our first stop only found a few trout, so we didn't stay long. Stop #2 found what we were looking for!! A slow but steady trout bite on Green Hornet Matrix Shad with 1/4 oz jig head. The trout were scattered so drifting worked best. The guys wanted to feel the pull of something stronger, so we left the trout biting. It only took one stop and the guys had the K2 over flowing with fish. Non stop catching on bait shrimp!! The guys loved the fight of the black and red drum and the two lonely Bay Snapper. Perfect conditions and incredible catching today. Always a pleasure fishing with Toby and his crew. Thanks again. rnrnGive me a call to get your trip locked in before it's too late!!rnrnCapt. Dularge Mixed Bag 2-7-14
Jeremy James was back onboard the Bluewave today with Chris & Tanner McGee. Lots of running today to find fish. Plenty reds in the shallows, but we couldn't get to them in our big boats. No problem, just had to change strategies!! We found reds, trout, puppy drum fishing the green hornet matrix shad. A slow retrieve with a twitch was key for the trout. Thanks guys for a great day. rnrnBig thanks to Capt Miller for running the second boat with Steve Orgeron and crew. Everyone had a blast. rnrnrnCapt. Dularge Fishing 1-29-14
Robert and Angela Stalnaker from North Carolina joined me today. This nice couple are down on vacation trying to get in all that South Louisiana has to offer!! It was their first time in the marsh and they were excited to see all the birds, wildlife, and catch some fish. The couple doesn't eat fish, so it was mainly catch n release. We departed at day break to find a strong falling tide and stained water. It wasn't long before Angela was battling a big bronze back! Then a trout hit the deck of the Bluewave, I thought it was going to be on!! We kept drifting without another bite. A short move and we found a couple more specks willing to bite the Green Hornet Matrix Shad. We moved around looking for cleaner water, never really finding what we were looking for. We switched to bait shrimp on the bottom catching several more reds. Once the tide switched we were back in the area we started and found several more trout willing to bite. The bite was slow, so we moved locations fishing four more areas with no luck. The bait shrimp came back out and my crew caught Bay Snapper every-cast. Angela was in heaven fighting the fish cast after cast!! Good time with these guys as they really enjoyed their day. rnrnI heard the afternoon bite in Lake Decade was pretty good but not many fish were caught in the morning. rnrnrnCapt. Reds Galore 1-13-15
Another great day today bashing the reds. After my customers cancelled last minute yesterday, I found one customer that wanted to jump aboard with me on short notice. We caught our limit of reds with no problem, then we went searching for trout. Only one lonely trout was found, but we continued to catch and release reds. The reds are piled up and you can't keep them off your line. Green Hornet Matrix Shad was the bait of choice today rigged on a 1/4 oz Golden Eye jig head or David Custom Tackle jig head. Cold and windy out there but the reds surely don't mind!!rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Redfish Bashing Continues 1-12-15
Petey Kern, Roy Landry, Brian Landry, and JJ 'Cocodrie Kid' Jacobs. We slept in again today and left at 8am. One stop shop again today putting together a limit of reds. We also added two lonely specks to the K2. Purple Haze Vortex and Green Hornet Matrix Shad slowly retrieved continues to get the job done. Great time today fishing with these guys, and I look forward to their return this summer. Thanks again guys, had a blast!!!rnrnrnJust had a last minute cancellation for tomorrow. Reds and More Reds! 1-11-15
David Thibodaux was back onboard the Big Bluewave today with Jake Gray. One stop redfish slam again today as they are stacked up like sardines. Purple Haze Vortex and Green Hornet Matrix Shad rigged on a 1/4 oz Golden eye or David's Custom Tackle jig head is all you need!! Slow retrieve dragging the bottom and wait for the hit. We have been fishing in 3-5 ft depths. The guys quickly filled the K2 with our limit then played catch and release until the had enough. It just doesn't get any better. Always a pleasure and fun time when David's on the boat. Thanks again guys, already looking forward to our next trip!!!rnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Reds Are Jumping In The Boat! 1-10-15
Day 2 with Paul & Kerry Ringiewicz and Cory & Rachel Fry was even better than day one!! It was a slow start with no tide movement, but once the tide started moving....BAM!! We could not keep the reds off the line!! Over 100 reds hit the Big Bluewave, keeping our 25 fish cooled down in the K2 cooler. Green Hornet, Shrimp Creole, and Purple Haze Matrix/Vortex Shad lures produced again. 1/4 oz Golden Eye or David's Custom Tackle jig head slowly retrieved. Shrimp under a cork also worked today for those that like to throw that stinky stuff!! A magnificent two days for these guys, as they have never witnessed Red-fishing at this caliber prior to coming down to Dularge and Terrebonne Parish. Thanks guys for two unforgettable days. rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com
