Bow Fishing Blast
Leslie Wood and his Texas crew made it into the lodge Thursday night. We loaded up the Gator Tails last night and were off. It didn't take too long before we had four reds in the lights! Then a few more and a ton of gar fish. The gars were out in full force and arrows were flying steady. 'Dead eye' James caught on quick and was sticking fish like a pro!! Low and clean water made for a great night. We saw plenty reds, gars, sheep head, and a couple drum. The guys had the time of their lives. rnrnBig thanks to Capt Chris for running the second boat. Everyone had a great time. rnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Yellow Mouth Fever!! 5-1-15
Cypress Marine crew were back onboard today! Jason Rabeaux, Chester Turner, and Raymond Montet were onboard the Bluewave today in pursuit of speckled trout!!!!! We had the yellow mouths coming in early on Shrimp Creole Matrix under a cork. As the morning progressed, we switched to double rigged Avocado and Green Hornet Matrix Shad with 1/4 oz Golden Eye jig heads. The Shimano reels stayed busy reeling in the fish!!! The wind was definitely a factor, but we overcame the elements and did what we had to. The K2 steadily filled up and was looking nice when the guys decided to call it a day. Always a blast fishing with these guys, and I look forward to our next trip. Thanks again for the continued business. rnrnrnrnBig thanks To Capt T Miller for running the second boat with Max Hoyt and crew. Everyone had a great time. rnrnrnCapt. Reds on the Du 4-30-15
Day two with Sewart Supply, the guys jumped onto the big Bluewave looking for reds. Our first stop was soaking crabs looking for some Bulls. No luck, so we were off to the shallows. It didn't take long to get our first hook up. The reds were finicky again, but slowly they kept hitting our Purple Haze Vortex Shad and Gold Spoons. No fast action, as we had to work for them. The guys from Japan and Wisconsin stayed patient, and continued to work them over. The reds did us no favors, as we worked for every fish we caught. We called it a day at 10:30, as the guys had to be back by 11 am to catch flights. Big thanks to Al Adams and David Duhe for setting up the trip. Always a pleasure fishing with you. Thanks for the continued business. rnrnBig thanks to Capt T Miller for running the second boat today. rnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Japan Meets Dularge Reds
Al Adams with Sewart Supply was back onboard the Bluewave today with customers from Japan. Plan was to put them on some bruiser Bull reds then keeper reds. Plan A (bulls) didn't work out, as there was no tide movement. We hit the shallow ponds and found the reds willing to bite on Purple Haze Vortex Shad with a gold spinner and gold spoons. The guys had a great time reeling in the reds in the shallows and are ready for round two!!rnrnBig thanks to Capt R Dupont for running the second boat. rnrnCapt. HERO HUNT REDS 4-26-15
I jumped onboard with a group from Hero Hunts to guide them on a redfish trip. We had two wounded Veterans with us, it was a pleasure watching them reel in the reds. The reds were finicky today, but we were still able to fill the box. Purple Haze Vortex Shad with a gold spinner blade did the trick. I can't thank these guys enough for their service to our Country and protecting our freedom. Thanks Scott Toups for setting things up. rnrnrnCapt. Best Trout Trip Of Their Lives!! 4-25-15
Day two with my Bisso Marine customers was another success. After another incredible dinner by Chef Rick and night at the lodge, we loaded the Bluewave's and headed to the trout grounds. Our first cast after deploying the Power pole had a nice 17 inch trout flying over the gunnel, I knew it was going to be a good day!! The switch was on and the Green Hornet and Lemon-head Matrix Shad lures went to work. It was 'fish on' every cast for a good 30-45 minutes, then our bite went cold. We moved around picking away at the fish, then had to make a move (it was a good one!!!). We had the fish coming in one after another and big smiles on everyone's face!! The K2 was stuffed with quality fish and the customers were super excited. Nothing better than to hear your customer tell you 'This was the best trout fishing trip of my life' (really makes you feel happy knowing they had a great time). We worked over reefs in 2-4 ft of water with a slow retrieve. Matrix Shad Lures is the only baits we use, as no live bait is needed. Thanks guys for such an exceptional weekend and I can't thank you enough for the continued business. rnrnI want to thank Capt T Miller for running the second boat with Bisso, Capt R Dupont for taking care of Mark Lemoine and crew, and Chef Rickie Daigle for the exceptional spread of food you prepared. The weekend was a 110% success. rnrnCapt. Marty LaCosternrn985-856-4477rnrnwww.absolutefishingcharters.comrnrnrnrnhttps://m.facebook.com/absolutefishingchartersLLC

On The Water, On The Trout 4-24-15
Bisso Marine made it into the lodge last night. Chef Rick did his thing cooking up a feast, good times by all. We woke up this morning and jumped into the Big Bluewave. Our first stop after deploying the Power Pole, had the trout coming in every cast. By 7:30 we had 80 trout iced down in the K2. Shrimp Creole under a cork and Green Hornet, Magneto, and Lemonhead busted the fish tight lined. Matrix and Vortex Shad is the only soft plastics you need on your boat, no other compare!! 3-5 ft depths over the oyster reefs worked best. What a incredible morning. Thanks guys for such a wonderful day. rnrnGive me a call, as we are on the water everyday and are on the fish. rnrnBig thanks to Capt T Miller for running the second boat with Bisso and Capt R Dupont for taking care of Dave Wilson from Texas. rnrnCapt. Trout Trout Trout 4-22-15
Mark and Emmett Braud were back on the Bluewave with me busting the trout once again. Our first stop had trout busting shrimp on the surface. It Appeared as though we were fixing to smash them, but to our dismay we were wrong. A few moves had us on a decent bite, and a nice bonus red for Emmett. Our bite went dead and we were almost out of options! I decided to roll the dice and go check a old 'Honey Hole' and it paid off in 'Silver'!!!! It was game on as soon as we pulled up. Green Hornet Matrix Shad tightlined slowly on a 1/4 oz Golden Eye Jig head did the damage. It's tough to resist the best bait on the market!!! The K2 steadily filled up. Another great day to add to the books. Thanks again guys for the repeat business!! Looking forward to our next trip already!!rnrnGive me a call to get your trip booked. We are on the trout and have limited dates open. rnrnTightlines!rnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Post Front Trout 4-21-15
Sonny Lovell and crew were back onboard the Bluewave today. Trout were on the menu!! Our first stop had a few fish hitting the deck but mostly were small. We spotted a flock of birds diving In the distance and it was fish on. A few keepers and throw backs, quick bite and the fish were gone. Our next stop actually had shrimp being chased out the water!! Power Pole down and fish on! Once again we boxed a few keepers and most went 11 3/4. Another move and we had nice 14-16 inch trout flying over the gunnel!! The bite was on....Then faded out like someone turned off a switch!! One bonus flounder hit the K2. Stick and move catching fish at every stop, as there was no lull in activity. The winds steady picked up and the tide steadily came in all day long. I kept waiting on the tide to switch, but it never did. We switched gears to reds around 12:30. Hit the shallow ponds sighting red after red after red, but not one would commit to the hook. All fish caught on Matrix Shad Shrimp Creole under cork or Green Hornet tightlined with a quarter ounce Golden eye jig head. Good times as always with Sonny and his crew. We worked hard, but with the conditions dealt we pulled out a nice catch. rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.comrnwww.facebook.com/Absolute Fishing Charters, LLC

Incredible Trout Action 4-19-15
Greg Laurent and Carl Fife joined me for a trout slam today on the Bluewave. Grim conditions early, then the Silver Surprise busted loose!! We found the trout stacked thick and feeding heavy. We put the Shrimp Creole Matrix Shad to work, and the specks could not resist them. 3-4 ft depths over oyster reefs has been working well with a slow retrieve. The trout have shown up in full force. As long as the winds are calm we are filling the K2. Thanks guys for another great day on the water. rnrnNot many dates left open so call now!!!rnrnCapt. Trout Busting!! 4-17-15
Lonnie Barr with Inolect was back with us today busting up the Yellow Mouths. Chef Shawn P boiled some shrimp and fixings last night and everyone got their fix. Conditions looked less than favorable this morning, but we knew we had to produce. The morning started out slow at the first stop, but the second stop the magic happened!!! Combination of the Matrix Shad lures and Fins Windtamer Braid put a hurt on the fish. Green Hornet tight lined and Shrimp Creole under a cork had the big Yellow mouths in a frenzy. We filed up the K2 Cooler then headed for the dock. Happy customers as always!!! Chef Shawn P had fresh fried trout for us while we cleaned fish and is starting the steaks on the grill now. Just doesn't get any better. Thanks to everyone for making the trip such a success. rnrnHit me up to get your trip locked in. I only have a few dates open, but have a great crew of Capt's ready to put you on the fish. rnrnrnThanks Capt T Miller for running the second boat. rnrnCapt. Calm Before the Storm 4-4-15
I helped Capt Rob Dupont with a two boat bachelor party Saturday morning. The crew wanted to give it a shot no matter what, so we gave it our best. We knew we had a window in the morning (calm before the storm). Unfortunately the front arrived earlier than expected, giving us only about one hour of calmness! The plan was to catch trout early then hit the deep holes for Bulls once the wind picked up. To my surprise, we actually got on a slow bite after the wind picked up. Some nice fat trout actually hit the K2 in 25-30mph winds. Once the water turned Willie Wonka Chocolate, the trout bite was done. We turned to shrimp on the bottom, then cracked crabs on the bottom. With the wind blowing a steady 30mph, the big temperature drop, and the fish in lock jaw mode....we were dock bound. Green Hornet Matrix and Purple Haze Vortex rigged on a 1/4oz golden eye Jighead accounted for all of our fish. Thanks Capt Rob for putting the trip together. rnrnHope everyone had a safe and Happy Easter. rnrnCapt. Marty LaCosternrn985-856-4477rnrnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Tough Bite 4-3-15
Nick, Melissa, Tyler Wilkinson and Terry Brumfield fished with me today. We had high hopes of duplicating yesterday's results, but the fish had other plans. Our first stop found the exact same conditions as previous days, but only several trout decided to bite. We stayed patient and worked over the area hard, before moving on. We soaked shrimp at many locations only catching a handful of fish. Plenty water covered, as we did everything possible to try and fill up the K2. Guess you can't win them all. Thanks to my crew for sticking it out on the tough bite. rnrnrnBig thanks to Capt R Dupont and Capt T Lovell for running the other two boats showing the customers a good time. rnrnrnCapt. Trout Bite is on
Bryan & Joe Ritzheimer and Don Hobbs from Kentucky fished with me today. Our first stop had the trout jumping into the K2. Great non stop action had my crew with big smiles on their faces. Green Hornet Matrix Shad tight lined and Shrimp Creole under a cork put a hurt on them!! Once the tide quit falling me made a few moves picking at the fish. Our last stop struck silver as it was every-cast!!! The fish were hitting the Bluewave deck non stop. rnrnThe trout bite is turning on, it's time to book now as I don't have many dates left through August. rnrnrnrnCapt. Dularge Trout 4-1-15
Scott and Ken Cunningham from Memphis and Canada joined me today on the Bluewave. We departed at daybreak and arrived on location to trout Bustin bait on the surface. A few keepers hit the deck then it was small fish. We moved around with not much luck. Patience ended up paying off as we stuck it out and the keeper trout started showing their presence!! The K2 started to fill up as the trout could not resist the Green Hornet Matrix Shad tight lined and Shrimp Creole under a cork. We worked over the reefs In 2-5 ft of water and were rewarded nicely. Not much tide movement today which made us have to work a lil harder to fill the box. Great time fishing with these guys and I look forward to their return. rnrnThanks Tony 'Castin Cajun' Fontenot for broadcasting a great show, as these guys watched us on TV and got in contact with me. Good times for sure. rnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com
