Trout Jumping Into the K2 11-26-14
New customers Robert & Kasey Daigle and Jimmy & Candice Jeter were with me today on the big Bluewave. We found a slow bite at our first two stops, then.......BAM!! We put 90 trout in the big K2 within 30 minutes!!!! It was quadruple hooks up, the Shimano rod n reels got a workout!! Big smiles on everyone's faces as the bite was so fast and furious it was just plain stupid. Every color of Matrix Shad or Vortex Shad rigged on a 1/4 oz Golden Eye Jig head did the trick. No other baits needed if your fishing the Dularge area except the Matrix Shad products. I called Capt Josh over and he limited out also. Team work is important so that all of our customers can catch fish. Thanks guys for such a incredible time!!rnrnThanks again Capt J Ellendar for putting Dr Matt Melancon and crew on a magnificent bite. The guys had a blast. rnrnCall now to get your December dates booked, they are going fast!!!!rnrnHappy Thanksgiving to allrnrnCapt. Marty LaCosternrn985-856-4477rnrnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Absolute Good Time 11-25-14
Dr Deep Chada and Mathew Modisette joined me on the Big Bluewave. It's was 11yr olds Mathews first fishing trip, and boy was it a great one!! Mathew caught on quickly as he had the specks coming in just about every cast! Dr Chadha really wanted his nephew to hook a good red, mission accomplished. Mathew caught the biggest red of the day, which gave him a good work out. The Shimano reel had drag ripping, and Mathew loved every second of it. We could not have asked for a better day and no better first trip to break Mathew in. Nothing better than seeing a youngster fall in love with fishing. Green Hornet Matrix Shad on 1/4 oz Golden Eye jig heads slowly retrieved was the ticket. Only a couple fish caught under corks today. We fished in five feet of water over the reefs. Thanks again guys for a incredible day. rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Absolute Fishing 11-24-14
Finally after two years of rescheduling due to bad weather I had Randall & Brana Porche and Donnie & Amanda Porche onboard the big Bluewave. A slow start to our morning as we picked away at the fish. We made a move and found what we were looking for. Trout and reds coming into the Bluewave!!! Power Pole down and the Shimano reels screaming, with big smiles on everyone's faces!!! Shrimp Creole Matrix Shad under a cork and Green Hornet Matrix Shad tightlined on a 1/4 oz Golden Eye Jig head did the trick. Thanks guys for everything. rnrnrnCapt. Exceptional Fast n Furious Trout 11-22-14
Day 2 with our Inolect crew was even better than day one. It was a one stop shop fast and furious bite today. Upon pulling up and deploying the Power Pole, it was fish on everycast. We started out with Shrimp Creole Matrix Shad 18 inches under a cork. After putting 25 fish into the K2, I decided to see if they would bite tight lining. The green hornet Matrix shad on a 1/4 ounce Golden Eye jig head went to work. It was all she wrote, the trout were eating them up as soon as they hit the water. By 7:30 75 specks were lay to rest in the K2 Cooler. My crew said it was their fastest limit of trout in their life. It just doesn't get any easier than today. The guys are headed home with 850 trout fillets and some reds to boot. Thanks to Lonnie Barr for the continued business. rnrnBig thanks to Capt Miller for running the second boat and to Chef Shawn P Whitney for all the fabulous food. 100% success rnrnCapt. Smokin Hot Bite 11-21-14
Inolect customers came into the Reel Inn Thursday night. Chef Shawn P. cooked up his famous crawfish Étouffée, and everyone ate like kings. The drinks were flowing and everyone had a great time. We woke up this morning and departed the Reel Inn at daybreak. Our first few stops only found 15 fish per stop, then the magic happened!!! It was fish on almost everycast!! Green Hornet tight lined or Shrimp Creole Matrix Shad under a cork had the fish in a frenzy. We left the fish biting once we secured our limit into the K2 Cooler. Everyone had the time of their lives as usual. rnrnBig thanks to Capts T Miller and C Venable for running the other boats. 275 trout, and other species hit the table today. rnrnCapt. Reds and Specks 11-19-14
Day two with Chip Spurlock and Ben Winter and crew was better than day one!! It took us 15 minutes longer than yesterday to put our limits of reds into the K2 (7:45 am)!! Then the K2 turned silver!!! The trout turned on and ate up our Green Hornet Matrix Shad tight lined and Shrimp Creole under a cork. What a incredible two days these guys had catching right at 300 fish. They are headed home loaded down with fillets. Thanks again guys for the continued business. rnrnBig thanks to Capt Miller for running the second boat. Great team work between our guides puts all of our customers on fish. rnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Red Hot Reds 11-18-14
Chip Spurlock, Ben Winter and crew were back down in Dularge fishing with us again. It was a cold start to the morning, but dressing in layers is key. We departed from the Reel Inn after daybreak. Arriving on location, we found the reds feeding on bait all over the banks. Purple Haze Vortex and Green Hornet Matrix Shad tight lined on a 1/4 Golden Eye Jig head, had the reds in a frenzy. Easy limits of reds at 7:30am then we caught and released till 10:00 while adding a few nice specks. Cold water temps have the reds stacked up, but has the trout bite shut down for the most part. The guys threw in the towel at 10am with their arms worn out from reeling in all the fish. Incredible day to say the least. rnrnThanks Capt T miller for running the second boat. rnrnCapt. Stuffing the K2 11-15-14
Brad Berard, Diana Witt, and Andy joined me on the Big Bluewave. We made it to the honey hole, and in no time Brad was reeling in a nice 24 inch red. Within minutes Brad was reeling in a 17 inch trout, we were off to a good start!! One by one the reds filled up the K2. The action never got hot & heavy, but it was steady. We filled the crews limit of reds and added a few trout, flounder, and some bay snapper. With the K2 stuffed and unable to close the lid, it was dock time!! Green Hornet Matrix Shad tipped with a small piece of bait shrimp did all the damage on today's trip. Thanks guys for such a enjoyable day!!rnrnBig thanks to Capt Lonnie Barr for taking care of Eric Alfonso's crew. The guys had a blast catching trout today. rnrnrnCapt. Cold Weather Reds 11-14-14
We pulled out of the Reel Inn after day light. Cold temps this morning had us hunkering down throwing our Matrix Shad Green Hornet slowly on the bottom. With water temps below 50' no trout wanted to play, it was all reds. It wasn't a fast and furious bite, but we hit them in spurts. After putting our ten reds in the K2, we headed back to the lodge to clean fish. Thanks Capt Chris for setting up the trip. rnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Dularge Trout Explosion 11-12-14
Clay Nunnally and Jonathon Clement were back with me today on the big Bluewave. The shrimp were running for their lives this morning and the trout were jumping out the water chasing them. Our double rigged Matrix Shad in Green Hornet and Shrimp Creole & Purple Haze Vortex Shad had them flying into the boat!! Once our bite shut down we made another move switching to single rigged Matrix Shad on a 1/4 oz Golden Eye jig heads. A slow retrieve over the reefs had them eating up like there was no tomorrow. Our last 7 fish were caught under a cork. Good times as always with these guys. Chillin Brew/arctic Ice products kept the fish cool in the K2. rnrnSpecial thanks to Capt Travis Miller, Capt Travis Lovell, Capt Rob DuPont, Capt Chris Venable, Capt Josh Ellendar, Capt Lonnie Barr, Capt Kevin Labat, Capt Troy Brunet, Capt Rob Chauvin, Capt Joel Wakeland, Capt Elton Rodrigue, Capt Anthony Kyzar, Capt Andre Trahan, Capt Aaron Julien, Capt Eddie Berthelot, and Capt Scott Walker for all your hard work and team work this year. Looking forward to another amazing year in 2015. rnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

The Du is On Fire!! 11-11-14
Dave Wilson from Kerrville Texas was back with me today. Dave's friend Mike Baumann also joined us. Dave and Mike flew in from the Bahamas after a week of bone fishing, to trout fish today. They couldn't have picked a better day! We found the trout hungry and waiting for our Green Hornet and Avocado Matrix Shad. The K2 filled up quickly, as the trout were jumping into the boat!! The majority of our fish today were caught under a cork, with 10% coming tight lining with a slow retrieve. Loving the new Chillin Brew Ice panels that keep the fish cool, using less ice. Thanks Dave for the continued business. rnrnThe gnats were terrible today, thank goodness for Swamp Swatter. rnrnHappy Veterans Day to all my fellow Veterans. rnrnCapt. Busting Them Trout 11-10-14
Day 2 with Dennis Waguespack, Brian & Maryanne Butler from Colorado. Bubba Watkins with Gator Tail boats also joined us. We found the shrimp running for their lives again this morning, with the specks in hot pursuit. Green Hornet Matrix Shad single or double rigged on a 1/4 oz Golden eye jig heads is what they wanted. Nice trout going 14-17 inches hit the K2 and filled it up. After the bite played out we went do a lil scouting to see what we could find deep in the marsh. A few more fish hit the K2 but not many. A few fish came under corks, but most all fish today were caught tight lined. Thanks guys for two exceptional days of fishing. rnrnThanks to the guys at Chillin Brew/Arctic Ice. The panels are great and keep the fish cold. Check them out online. rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Fast and Furious Trout 11-9-14
Dennis & Kathleen Waguespack, and Brian & Maryanne Butler from Colorado had a great trip today. Fast action today from the start. The birds easily located the fish for us, as the shrimp were flying out the water!! Fish on from the first cast!! All colors of Matrix Shad and Purple Vortex Shad on 1/4 oz Golden Eye jig heads did the trick. Once the bite shut down we hit a reef and found the trout even stacked up thicker!!! We switched to corks and my crew started smashing 14-18 inch trout almost every cast. We could not have asked for better conditions and bite. Thanks guys, see you soon!!!!rnrnCapt. Great Day Busting Them Specks 11-8-14
Richard and Kyle Aycock joined me today. At our first stop the trout had the shrimp running for their lives!!! Shrimp and trout were jumping out the water, but unbelievably it was slow bite. Only 14 fish made it into the K2. It was stick and move, stick and move. We picked at the fish, then finally hit what we were looking for!! Fish on....BAM!! It was almost every-cast and the K2 was looking good. Single rigged Green Hornet Matrix Shad with a 1/4 Golden Eye Jig head got the job done!! With a slow falling tide we just rolled the baits on the bottom. Great finish to the day and the guys loved every minute of it. Their already planning their next trip!! Thanks again guys. rnrnBig thanks to Capt Rob D for taking care of Rick Goldsby for me. They had a great time catching trout. rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Stacking the Silver and Green Trout 11-7-14
Joey Amorello with Bell and McCoy was back onboard today. Joey brought his customers with Teche Electric and G&K Electric. We found a slow bite at our first stop picking away at the trout. We made a short move finding what we were looking for. Silver trout and the green trout piled up together. It was a finicky bite, but we loaded up the K2 fish by fish. We would get on some hot streaks then it would slow down. Steady action kept everyone with smiles on their faces. Lots of laughing and joking going on today as everyone had a great time as usual!! Single rigged Green Hornet Matrix Shad and Purple Haze Vortex Shad rigged on 1/4 Golden eye jig heads did the trick. The Shimano reels worked flawlessly as they do everyday. Post front conditions with high winds could not stop us. Thanks guys for another great trip and memories. rnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com
