More Du Specks! 6-23-16
Ron bello and crew joined me today, we were greeted with calm winds and seas. The bite wasn\'t fast and furious like yesterday, but still bit good enough to make us happy. Specks and whites were coming over the gunnels steady on double rigged Matrix Shad for the first hour. With 40 specks iced down and the bite slowing down, we decided to make a move. We found murky water and a very slow tide movement at our next location, but zoned in on some solid specks. Once the tide quit moving the bite shut down. With 100 specks iced down and the heat kicking, we decided to roll to the dock. Thanks guys for another great day of catching. \r\n\r\nCapt Marty LaCoste\r\n985-856-4477\r\nwww.absolutefishingcharters.com\r\nfacebook.com/absolutefishingchartersLLC\r\nhttps://Instagram.com/capt_marty_lacoste

Another Trout Explosion!!! 6-22-26
Louise Stewart, husband and mother 83 yrs young from Florida joined me today on the Bluewave. We were greeted with calm seas and winds. The trout were stacked up and waiting for our double rigged Matrix Shad. The trout were coming over the gunnels from the very first cast as soon as the #motorguide Xi5 locked in. Many memories made today as my crew had never experienced a bite like this in their life. It was great to watch and listen to their excitement as they continued to hook 1-2 fish every single cast! The bite was fast and furious and every cast, 85 fish hit the K2 before 7:30. When the bite slowed down on us, we made a move and finished off the limit in short order. No live bait needed, as Matrix Shad get the job done daily for us. Thanks again Louise for setting up the trip, it's one I will not forget. rnrnCapt. White trout save the day 6-21
Day 2 with Dennis, Craig, Thomas Lorio and Darren Miguez had us searching for trout again. We decided to get in the water and wade fish at our first stop. Dirty water, strong current and rough waves made it almost impossible, so we loaded back up in the Bluewave. We picked at the specks at our next few stops in less than favorable water, It was time to make a move. We found clean water again with calmer seas and jumped back into the water with no luck again, as the tide wasn't moving. One more stop and we added some more specks and hit the motherload of white trout. The white trout were hitting our double rigged Matrix Shad lures every single cast. We could of sunk the boat with them if we wanted too. My guys had to head in for noon, so we left the whites biting every cast to head in. Fun time with the guys, and the first time in four years we don't limit out on our two day trip. I guess the perfect streak had to end sooner or later!!! Thanks again guys for the continued business and incredible times we have shared over the years. rnrnrnCapt. Trout and Bass on the Du 6-20
Repeat customer's Dennis Lorio and sons were back with me today on their yearly two day trip. We were not sure what the weather was going to do this morning, so I had to change my game plan up several times. After waiting for well over 30 minutes past our planned departure, we headed out. Things looked decent and I knew we had a 2-3 hour window to do some damage. It didn't take but two cast and Craig was slinging in a double on Matrix Shad lures. That set it off, and in no time everyone in the boat was slinging in fish. Non stop action as the Motorguide Xi5 held us in place. The bite slowed down after a good hour of catching. We moved around picking away at a few more fish before we made a move. First cast at our second location produced a nice speck and quite a few more before the storms closed in on us and we had to run to safer grounds. We hit the marsh and found a good incoming tide. Green Hornet Matrix and brush hogs were tied on and we started beating the banks. The bite was very slow as we only hooked 6 bass, boating four. One undersized red was also released. Great day with my crew considering how bad the weather was. I always say 'You have to go to know!!!' Thanks guys for the continued business. rnrnHope all the dads out there had a Happy Fathers Day yesterday. rnrnrnCapt. Day 2 Trout 6-18
Day 2 with Inolect! After a memorable evening/night at the lodge, everyone went to bed happy. We kept looking at the weather last night trying to decide on if we could trout fish or not! Woke up this morning and made the call, Southbound! The morning started off slow just picking away. We decided to make a short move and it paid off. We had birds working and the trout started eating up our double rigged Matrix Shad. We were able to get on some steady runs and put a good lick on them. No limits, but considering we didn't even know if we would be able to trout fish...we did excellent. Thanks again Lonnie Barr for the continued business and friendship. rnrnrnBig thanks to Capts A Lacour for running the third day with Shannon Ham and family, Capt T Miller and C Venable for running The other two boats with Inolect, and Capt K Labat for taking care of MMR. rnrnCapt. Bass and Reds! 6-17
Day 1 with InoLECT crew was a great success. One boat crushed the trout and the other two boats hit up the bass and reds. #Matrix Shad Green Hornet went to work on the bass, the lizards and Brush hogs came second. The green trout were waiting on us, and my crew showed no mercy! Nice healthy fish were coming over the gunnels one after another until the tide quit moving. We soaked crabs at several locations without luck before calling it a day. Made it back to the lodge to enjoy Chef Shawn P LLC's crawfish étouffée. Thanks Lonnie Barr for the continued business and friendship. rnrnBig thanks to Capt A Lacour for taking care of Shannon Ham and family the last two days, Capt T Miller and Capt C Venable for running the other two boats with Inolect, Capt K Labat for running the MMR crew, Capt R Dupont for taking care of K&J supply crew, and Capt A Julian for taking care of Mr Ronnie Russo. We commenced to putting a hurt on them with #Matrix Shad and gold spoons. The guys had a blast during their three days and are going home loaded down with fillets. Thanks guys for three great days of fishing and friendship. rnrnThanks Capt T Miller for running the second boat again today. rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Trout and Bulls 6-14
Day 2 with Claude Sims, Carson Sims, and Texas crew had us trout fishing. The bite was slow on our double rigged Matrix Shad, so we put on the Crappie Trout Trailers and started catching! Slow bite, but steady. A storm kicked up and made us leave the bite we were on. We broke out the top water and started busting themrnagain, exciting to watch these big trout explode on the top water baits. We headed North around 10 am, as the guys wanted to battle the Bulls. First stop found zero, our second stop had the guys with bent rods and sore arms!! Another great day with the guys!! rnrnBig thanks to Capt T Miller for running the second boat. His crew caught some trout, and crushed the pup drum and Bull reds. Guys still have smiles on their faces!!!!rnrnrnCapt Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Spanked Them Du LAWGS! No live bait needed!! 6-13-16
My good friend from Texas Claude Sims, his son Carson Sims, and friends joined us today for a Dularge trout slam! Not sure if you could ask for a better day?? Our first stop was a special treat, as we put about 35 LAWGS in the Bluewave all on Top-Water plugs. Only 2-4 fish came on double rigs.....if you can believe that!!!! LOL. Once the bite slowed down, we made a short move and found some more LAWGS!!!! We broke out the double rigged Matrix Shad here and commenced to a beating!! All the fish were 17 inches plus, with the big girl going 23 1/4 inches at 4.40 pounds. The guys had a ball reeling in these beautiful fish. No need to waste your hard earned money on live bait, as no live bait is needed Down in Dularge right now. Thanks Claude, memories made today that will last a lifetime!!rnrnrnBig thanks to Capt T Miller for running the second boat. rnrnrnCapt Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Finicky Trout 6-12
Wondell Wesley and crew joined me today. Trout was the target species and we stuck with it. We found about 8 fish at our first location. We made a move and found the birds diving on shrimp. You would think it would be every cast, but it wasn't. The fish have been real finicky on what they want lately. We worked them over just picking away, catching several doubles on Matrix Shad lures. Made a few moves only catching a few fish so we worked our way back. The fish were still there and a little more aggressive as the seas almost slicked out. The guys put a decent mess of Speckled trout and some white trout together. Great time fishing with you guys and look forward to your return. rnrnrnCapt Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Day 2 with Bisso Marine 6-11
Day two with Bisso Marine, I had a new crew onboard from yesterday. We headed South for trout, but were greeted with choppy seas and stained water with little visibility. Birds started working, but minimal fish willing to bite. Crazy how the boats surround you like vultures and some get within casting distance of you and think it's no big deal. We caught 13 fish between whites and specks. One crew member got sea sick, so we took it into calmer waters. We headed to the ponds and tied on gold spoons. We hooked into 13 reds within the first 30 minutes, with 10 of them hitting the K2 Cooler. Thick grass made us turn around. One more stop to soak crabs and we hooked into two bull reds and one bull drum before taking it to the dock. Always a pleasure fishing with the Bisso crew. My oldest son was able to fish with us both days which made it extra special, since I don't get to bring him as much as I would like to. Thanks Guys for the continued business. rnrnBig thanks to Capt T Miller for running the second boat with Bisso, Capt Labat for running the MMR crew, and Capt RD Dupont, and Capt TLuV Lovell for taking care of Sonny Lovell and the girls. Catching Continues 6-10-16
Day one with Eric Hellbach with Bisso Marine. After a great night at the lodge and Chef Ricks cooking, we all went to bed happy. Early start had us out to the fishing grounds and ready. Unfortunately the trout slept in! We made a move after no bites at our first stop. We found a few birds diving on shrimp and went to work with our double rigged Matrix Shad. We never did get on a hot and heavy bite, we just picked away at them. The white trout were thick today and we caught them every cast for quite a while. Good times as always and my crew called it a day after the bite slowed down. Thanks as always for another great day. rnrnBig thanks to Capt T Miller for running the second boat. Trout Bashing Continues 6-9
Scotty Muller with Gaiennie Lumber was back with us today. We had to reschedule our last trip due to weather. The guys came into the lodge last night and Chef Shawn P LLC cooked up his famous crawfish étouffée and Tator salad. Everyone went to bed full and happy. We were greeted with calm winds and seas this morning, and the trout were waiting! It didn't take long for the trout to start flipping in the boat, once the double rigged Matrix Shad lures hit the water!! You just can't fish with a better soft plastic. The fish were smashing shrimp all around us and smoking our lures! Solid fish coming in two at a time, just doesn't get any better. Our bite slowed down a bit earlier than the last previous days so we made a move and picked away at the fish. The winds kicked up and so did the seas, so my guys were ready to head North. Incredible day once again with these guys and they all went home loaded down with fillets. Thanks Scotty for the continued business. rnrnBig thanks to Capt T Miller and C Venable for running the other two boats. Everyone smashed the trout and had a magnificent time!!rnrnrnCapt. Day 2 Trout Slam 6-8-16
Day 2 with Wesley Carambat and family. We were greeted with calm winds and seas, and the sound of trout busting on shrimp before the sun even came up. Double rigged Matrix Shad quickly went to work and the trout were coming over the gunnels quick! Again today we had 81 trout iced down when the smoke cleared!! We made a move and added 19 more hammers. When #100 hit the deck my crew were ready to head in. Incredible two days with these guys. rnrnBig thanks to Capt Austin Lacour for running the second boat with Brien Thompson. They limited out and added a few reds before coming in. rnrnCapt Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

#Trout Explosion!!! 6-7
Wesley Carambat and family joined me today on the Bluewave. Winds were forecasted to be suitable for trout fishing, so we made our way South. Seas were a bit choppy and the water did not look that great, I was a bit concerned at first! Once we stopped and put the Motorguide Xi5 to work, I was more at ease. In no time we had solid trout coming over the gunnels two at a time on Matrix Shad. Everyone in the boat was hooked up as it was fast and furious action. When the smoke cleared we had 81 fish taking a ice bath. We made a lil move to another location and hit the motherload again!! It was two at a time just about every cast, good as it gets. We finished off the limit quick and headed in to clean fish. What a great time fishing with this family, thanks again. rnrnCapt.
