Good As It Gets 10-29-14
I fished with Jerry Roth and Danny Lirette again today. We were greeted with perfect conditions, I knew it was going to be a good day. No sooner than killing the engine the trout were jumping into the boat!! Fast and furious action again today, as the fish were eating up like there was no tomorrow. 3-6 at a time on the double rigged Matrix/Vortex Shad. Once things slowed we started drifting a reef with Shrimp Creole Matrix under a cork in 4ft of water. It was every cast again, just easy as it gets. Perfect weather, company, and catching....it just doesn't get any better. rnrnNovember is fully booked, but I have plenty Capt's to run over flow trips. Get your December dates booked now before it's too late. rnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Smokin Hot Dularge Bite 10-27-14
Brandon, Jacob, and Alexis Moore joined me on a incredible trout slam in the big Bluewave. Our first stop had the shrimp running for their lives, with the trout in hot pursuit. Every cast fast and furious action as it just doesn't get any easier!! The trout were flying into the K2 4-8 at a time. When the smoke cleared the K2 was stuffed with 13-16 inch specks. 10 yr old Jacob was like a pro slinging in fish one after another!! Double rigged Matrix and Vortex Shad did the damage as they do daily. Could not have asked for a better bite today, as my crew had smiles from one ear to the other. Fun times for sure, thanks again Brandon. rnrnBig thanks to Capt Miller for taking care of Mike Montalbano. They also smashed the trout. rnrnrnCapt. Fast And Furious Trout Action 10-26-14
Day two with Southern Pipe was even better than day one!! We departed the Reel Inn lodge at daybreak. We found the trout chasing shrimp at our first stop, but only had three fish willing to bite. We didn't stay long!! On the move looking for birds, we found a good bite. Everyone in the boat was reeling in fish every cast, plenty white trout mixed in. We left the fish biting to look for specks. We made a quick move to one of my old honey holes and found what we were looking for!!! Power pole down and keeper specks flying into the K2 every cast. We had them coming in 4-8 at a time. Fast and furious and easy as it gets. The K2 filled up quickly and everyone had huge smiles on their faces. Brad even hooked a 27 pound bull red which was his biggest red ever. Double rigged Matrix and Vortex Shad with a slow retrieve worked best, as they do the job every single day down in Dularge!! The guys are headed back to Monroe with over 1450 fillets, and great memories. Big thanks to Capt Anthony Kyzar for setting up the trip. rnrnCapt. Dularge Trout!!! 10-25-14
We had a big group fishing today from the Monroe area. Our first stop found the trout chasing shrimp out of the water again. With the Power Pole deployed it was fish on!! 14-19 inch trout coming in the Bluewave on double rigged Matrix and Vortex Shad. Purple Haze Vortex has been our top producer. Once the bite was over we switched gears to reds. We hooked four reds in the first ten minutes, then the water dropped out on us. We headed out to deeper water only finding a few more fish before calling it a day. Big thanks to Capt Anthony Kyzar for setting up the trip. rnrnrnCapt. Dularge Trout Busting 10-24-14
Richard and Alison Rolke joined me on the big Bluewave today. Pulled up at our first stop and dropped the Power Pole. The shrimp were jumping out the water and the trout chasing them!! All the trout were nice up to 17 inches. Once the bite shut down we made another move. Our second stop dropping the Power Pole had us reeling in fish every cast for over a hour. Easy and good as it gets today, as my customers had never caught so many fish in their lives. Double rigged Matrix and Vortex Shad got the job done as they do everyday in Dularge. Vortex Purple Haze was the top producer. Thanks guys for such a great day!! rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Tough Windy Trout 10-21-14
Bill Roach from Mississippi and crew joined me today on the big Bluewave. The bite at our first stop was slow, we made a short move picking away at a few fish. Stick and move was the name of the game today. With increasing winds, things didn't look good. We chased birds picking away at the fish. We checked numerous reefs with no luck, then switched back to the birds. We hit a few really good flocks, loading the K2. We had to adapt and overcome in the tough conditions, and we made it happen. Our last couple stops had everyone in the boat reeling in fish 1-2 at a time on the double rigged Matrix and Vortex Shad. Thanks guys for another fantastic day on the water. rnrnCapt. Dularge Trout Back On 10-20-14
I fished with Kenny and Paula LaCroix again today. I jumped onboard Kenny's boat at the Reel Inn and we were off. Our first stop had the trout coming in 3-6 at a time. Double rigged Matrix and Vortex Shad had them in a frenzy again like always!! The bite was over by 7:30 so we drifted a reef with Vortex Shad under a cork and added five nice trout to the box. It was stick and move until we hit another nice school of trout under the birds. It was non stop action for about thirty minutes, then the bite slowed down. We wrapped things up after lunch and headed in to clean fish. Much calmer winds today than yesterday, and bite was significantly better!! Always a pleasure fishing with Kenny, thanks for the continued business. rnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Windy Trout & Reds 10-19-14
Billy Gray and family were back onboard with me today on the big Bluewave. We knew we were faced with tough conditions, as the winds were pumping 25 mph first thing this morning. Our second stop had us reeling in nice trout up to 20 inches and a red. The lil ones had a blast reeling in most of the fish. They caught their first trout (20 inch's) and a really nice red. These two fish made the trip!! After our bite faded out we were on the move. We picked away at fish at most stops, then hit a good flock of birds. We had the fish coming in two at a time on the double rigged Matrix and Vortex Shad. The bite played out pretty quick unfortunately. No where near like the last three days with perfect conditions. However, we put a respectable box of trout together and a couple reds. Some very special memories were made too!! Thanks Billy for the continued business, we will eventually get a good weather day!!! rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Another Trout Slam 10-18-14
Ashley Levy joined me today for a incredible trout slam. Great weather equals great fishing!! As soon as the sun came up the trout were busting shrimp all around the boat. Our double rigged Matrix and Vortex Shad rigged on 1/4 oz Golden Eye jig heads had the trout in a frenzy eating up like there was no tomorrow. Things slowed a bit once the Saturday crowd of boats showed up. We had to move a lil bit and then it was on again every cast. We had 40 fish iced down around 7:45 when our bite was over. Did a lil scouting then found what we were looking for. Took a entire five minutes to finish off our limit as it was every cast action again. I called Capt Travis over to get in on the great bite before leaving. Teamwork is key in getting all of our customers on a good bite. Thanks Ashley for a great day on the water. rnrnGive me a call if you want in on this great action. rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Trout On Fire 10-17-14
Jim Green, Tony Cash with Gator Valve & Mark Diliberto, and Danny Guilliot joined me today on the big Bluewave. It was game on from the first cast!! We had the specks jumping into the K2 every cast!!! Fast and furious every cast action again today, as it's easy as it gets right now. Double rigged Matrix and Vortex shad are getting the job done everyday down in Dularge, no other baits needed!!!! By 8 am the damage was done and we turned our focus to reds. We drifted the shallow ponds seeing many reds pushing, but none wanted to eat. The guys threw in the towel at 11 and we headed in. Great day with these guys busting the trout. Thanks guys. rnrnGive me a call to get in on this incredible action. rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Easy Trout Limits 10-16-14
Danny Lirette, Ryan Duthu, and Father Craig were back onboard the big Bluewave today. Easy and good as it gets today, as the trout were basically jumping into the boat. The action was fast and furious as we had the fish coming in 4-8 at a time every cast. Double rigged Matrix Shad (green hornet) and Vortex Shad (purple haze, and shrimp cocktail) with a slow retrieve were irresistible. Our fish went 13-18 inch's with minimal throw backs. We were done a little after 8am and did some scouting, then hit the shallow water and caught a few reds for the grill. No more 'black clouds' Danny!!!! Just sunshine and plenty fillets!!! Great time with these guys as always, thanks. rnrnGive me a call if you want to get in on the action. We have the boats and the most experienced Capts in Dularge. rnrnCapt. Dularge Fishing 9-12-14
George and Yvette Wright drove in from Atlanta to fish Down in Dularge. We had trout coming in the Big Bluewave from the get go!! Matrix Shad and Vortex Shad double rigged and under a cork had the fish coming in just about every cast. We fished reefs and birds finding fish at almost every stop. George had one request 'catch a redfish'!! George had never caught a red before and I told him we would change that today. We left the trout to target reds and it didn't take long to get George on a good fish. I sighted a fish swimming along the bank and George casted his gold spoon.....BAM!! Incredible sight to watch him catch his first ever redfish. We even added a few green trout to the box before calling it a day. Great day with a wonderful couple. rnrnrnCapt. Day 2 Cowboys & Cajuns Redfish Rodeo
Day two fishing the Fourth Annual Cowboys and Cajuns Redfish Rodeo. We found a slower bite this morning at our first stop than yesterday. With a three red stringer of 20.6 pounds at 7:30 am, I wasn't satisfied. We took off and were on the hunt for a bigger red to put us over 21 pounds. We hit two deep holes then hit the shallow water throwing spoons and Vortex Shad on gold spinners. We added another 5 reds but no contenders. I had one last location I wanted to try before heading in, and it was money!! We added three more reds quick with one going 7.17 pounds putting us up to 21.79 pounds. We called it a day and beat the rain in!! Ended the two days with 45.19 pounds, taking overall first place guide pot. Congrats to all the Capt's, teams members, and Peter Velasco for making the event a success. Job well done guys. rnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Day 1 Cowboys & Cajuns Redfish Rodeo
Day one of the Fourth Annual Cowboys and Cajuns Redfish Rodeo found us reeling in reds every cast this morning!! It was fish on from the start with double hook ups one after another. The Shimano reels got a work out today as the reds were pigs!!! The guys had a blast and the big reds gave their arms a workout!! Once the K2 was stuffed with reds we switched gears to trout. Only a few trout hit the box before we called it a day. My team today are sitting in first place with a 23.4 pound three fish stringer. If we can repeat on day two we will be looking good, good luck everyone. rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Extreme Windy Post Front TROUT 10-4-14
Day two with Daniel Louque and crew started out looking bad with 25-30 mph winds. I went to check a new area we haven't fished yet, but only found dirty water. We made a move and found cleaner water and right away started picking at the fish under corks with Shrimp Cocktail Vortex Shad and Purple Haze Vortex Shad. After the bite played out we ran and checked another area and found birds diving on shrimp. The double rigs came out and the trout started flying into the K2. Picking through the smaller trout, as most of the trout under the birds have been averaging 11-13 inches. Purple Haze, Green Hornet, and Shrimp Cocktail colors in Vortex and Matrix have been working best all rigged on 1/4 Golden Eye jig heads. The guys put a good mess of fish together in the horrific conditions. Thanks guys for two great days and thanks to Capt Travis for setting things up. rnrnThe trout are here, so get your trip booked!!!rnrnCapt.
