Louisiana Sportsman TV Trout Slam 4-22-14
Jared Serigne, Greg Hackney, and Andy Crawford joined me today onboard the big Bluewave. We had a monkey wrench thrown at us with this West wind today, being we have been having a consistent South/E/SE wind for quite a while. No problem as all we did was adapt and overcome. We moved and found protected clean water and started pounding away at the trout. They were stacked and hungry, and we had them coming in every-cast!!! We even caught a few reds for lagniappe. Greg and Andy threw Strike King Lures while I threw The Matrix Tiger and Green Hornet. Plenty of laughing, joking, cutting up, and trout slime in the boat today. It truly was a incredible trip with the guys and I look forward to having them back. All fish caught tight lining with a slow steady retrieve In 1-2 ft depths. Thanks again guys. rnrnCapt. Solid Trout In Dularge 4-21-14
Bob Lake, Greg and 7yr old Jacob Rowland joined me on the big Bluewave today. It was stick and move at our first couple stops then we struck silver!! We were all reeling in some solid fish going 16-18 inches. Tight-lined Matrix Shad Tiger and Shrimp Creole worked best. When the bite slowed we did some moving around looking for more fish. Once again we struck silver and had the big yellow mouths coming into the K2 one after another. Little Jacob was a trooper and was non-stop casting!! He had a blast reeling in a redfish and several trout. Good times by all and we ended the day with a solid box of fish. Thanks guys for a great day. rnrnrnBig thanks to Capt T Miller for running the second boat with John Luscher and his grand daughter. rnrnrnCapt. Toughest Day in Perfect Conditions 4-19-14
Chad Chaisson and crew joined me today aboard the Bluewave. Perfect conditions presented us with clean water, calm winds, and a good tide. We had high hopes of crushing the fish with no problems. Well the fish didn't get the memo!! Zero fish at our first three stops. We finally broke the ice at out fourth stop. Stick and move over and over picking away. No birds diving no bait seen, completely unreal. We didn't give up though and kept grinding away until I was satisfied we had a respectful catch for the guys in such lock-jaw conditions. Regardless of the tough bite, the guys had a great time and day and were very thankful I stayed persistent to put them on some fish. Thanks guys for being so patient. Every single fish today was caught under a cork. Matrix Shad Shrimp Creole, Tiger, and the Reel Dat Lures. Not one fish today was caught tight lining. rnrnCapt. Silver Specks 4-18-14
Erik and Shannon Mollerberg jumped onboard the big Bluewave today. Our first stop had us slow picking away at some keepers while most were too small. Our second and third stop had nice trout going 15-18 inch's. Crystal clear water at most locations today made it nice. Tiger and Green Hornet Matrix tight-lined and Shrimp Creole Matrix and Chartreuse Reel Dat Lures under a cork did the trick. We fished mostly protected areas trying to stay out of the wind today. Erik and Shannon had a great time reeling in the fish and learned a wealth of knowledge about the area. It was a very enjoyable day with the couple and I look forward to their return, thanks again!rnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Good Times in Dularge 4-17-14
Ben Bouterie and crew with Acclarent came into the Lodge Wednesday night. Chef Shawn P boiled up some crawfish and fried fish for the guys, a good night was had by all. We pulled out the lodge this morning at day break. Our first few stops were slow, then we found what we were looking for. Silver head shakers hitting the K2!!! Tiger and Shrimp Creole Matrix under a cork did the trick. Once the bite slowed, we moved around picking and adding to the box. We went soak a few shrimp and added a little mixture to the box. The guys had a great time and took first place trout and second place red in the little competition they had going on between the three boats. Thanks guys for everything and we look forward to your return. rnrnBig thanks to David\'s Custom Tackle for the new jig heads. They are working great. rnrnBig thanks to Capt Travis Miller and Capt Rob DuPont for running the other two boats and showing the guys a great time. Great team work once again as that\'s the \'Real Deal\'!!! It\'s not all about one person/boat catching when fishing with Absolute Charters, it\'s about all boats and customers catching. Give me a call to get in on the action. rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Dularge Real Deal Extravaganza 4-16-14
Joey Lupo and crew were back on the big Bluewave today. Our first stop found the trout jumping into the K2 just about every cast under corks. Matrix Shad Tiger, Shrimp Creole and the Chartreuse Reel Dat Shrimp Lures were getting it done. Once the bite tapered off we found several redfish eating up the Matrix also under a cork. We fished several other areas picking away at the fish. We didn\\\'t set any records today but with the conditions the guys put a nice mess of fish together. One lonely flounder also made it into the mess of fish. Thanks again guys for another great day on the water. rnrnrnIf your looking for the real deal......fishing, bow fishing, lodging, chef and catering, then give me a call, we have it all!! rnrnChef Shawn P is fixing to start boiling crawfish and frying fish for our big crew at the lodge right now!!rnrnThe custom Jig Heads by David's Custom Tackle have been working out fabulous. Wind Machine Trout. Reds. Flounder 4-13-14
Mike Prejean, Chan Sanders, and Ben Adams joined me today. Our first stop looked promising with clean water and mullet crashing the surface. We quickly hooked 6-7 trout and a nice red, and thought it was on!!!! Not much after that so off to our second location. The wind machine was steady pumping so we had to stay protected. We got on a couple runs of 5-6 fish and hooked into one nice big hog!!!rnA couple more stops found a couple more reds, a flounder, and more trout. Tough grind it out type of day with such high winds, but the guys stayed patient and persistence paid off with a nice box of fish. Great guys to fish with, thanks again. rnrnrnCapt. Tough Grind it Day 4-12-14
Gary, Nick, & Roder Russo, and Will Hales fished with me today. Our first stop found a slow bite only catching 10 trout and a red. We made a move and found a school of trout stacked up. It was every cast for about 15 minutes then shut down like a switch. Our next stop found another quick bite then shut off again. The trout bite went non existent, as no one we spoke to were catching. We switched gears and started soaking some fresh shrimp on the bottom. It didn\'t take long for everyone\'s rods to bend. Reds, drum, bay snapper, and fresh water cats were coming in almost every cast. They weren\'t all keepers but the guys were catching. Minimal tide movement today made it tough. Fun time regardless with the guys and we put a good mess together considering!! Tiger and Green Hornet Matrix caught all of our trout today. Thanks again guys for sticking it out in the tough conditions. rnrnrnBig thanks to Capt Chris Venable for taking care of Ryan Ray and crew with MMR. rnrnCapt. Dularge Fish Jumping in the Boat 4-11-14
Day 2 with Marvin Travasos, Robert Kidder, and Aaron Groen. The guys slammed the trout early then we switched gears to reds. First cast and Robert was hooked up, we knew it was going to be good. We stayed in one spot and the guys steady filled the K2 to the top. Matrix Shad Tiger and Green Hornet did their job like they do everyday. The guys had a blast fishing with me for two days and can't wait to return. Thanks again Marvin for the business. rnrnrnBig thanks to Capt T Miller for running the second boat with Michael Woulfe's crew. The guys had a a great trip and already are planning another. rn rnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Fish and Rescue Mission 4-10-14
Marvin Travasos, Robert Kidder, and Aaron Groen joined me today. Marvin could not get enough last week and is back for two more days!! We left out of the lodge at daybreak and commenced to slinging nice trout up to 17 inches at our first stop. Marvin also added a nice red to the box. When things slowed me made a move to a reef and started catching trout up to 19inches. Our next stop was another reef that had smaller trout we had to cull through but still added a good 15-20 to the box. Matrix Shad Tiger and Blueback Highlife Swimmer Jrs produced all of our trout today. We switched gears and went soak some shrimp adding a variety to the K2 of reds, Bay snapper, and a few fresh water cats. We were going to make one more stop, but on our way we rode up on a boat with three passengers that had sank. We quickly stopped and got them into the Bluewave and recovered all of their gear that was floating. We called Terrebonne Water Patrol and waited for their arrival. Everyone was safe and secure thank goodness , hopefully they can recover the boat. Big thanks to Terrebonne Water Patrol as these guys do a great job everyday helping our people on the water. Thanks to my customers for another blessed day on the water. rnrnrn rnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Trout & Reds On The Du 4-9-14
Jerry, Garrett, and Luke Vinning joined me today. Luke and Garrett brought their dad fishing for his birthday. We left out of the lodge at daylight and found perfect conditions at our first stop but only a few fish. Our second stop found a steady bite with everyone slinging in fish. When things slowed down the picking began. Pick pick pick as we were grinding them out. We finally found some fish and got on a decent bite, then go figure. A rude inconsiderate wingnut comes and trolls right on top of where we are casting. Simply amazed how some people can be so ignorant. Well go figure, we didn't catch another fish. Got a call from Capt Rob that he was on a decent bite. We headed that way and ended up adding another ten fish before calling it a day. Tiger Matrix did the damage on the trout and reds today. The guys had a great day and put a decent box of fish together. Thanks again guys. rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Trout Bite Off the Charts 4-6-14
Day 2 with Jared Illanne\\\'s crew was as good as it gets. We went to bed last night unsure if we could fish today or not. I had already cancelled one boat because of the forecast, but with the big group staying at the lodge we had to wait till the morning to make the call. Well when I woke up at 4:00am and saw the radar, I called everyone and gave them the green light. Dead calm winds, fog, and a slick calm lake is what we were greeted with. If anyone thought about fishing today and didn\\\'t, boy did you miss out!!! Jay Kennett, Mitch Brown, and Bryan Berditt fished with me on the big Bluewave. Our first stop had the guys slinging in the yellow mouths just about everycast!! The K2 filled up quickly as they could not resist the Tiger Bait Matrix Shad. I called the other boats over so all boats and customers could catch fish. All about team work with the A-team, and all customers getting in on catching!! The guys were amazed at how hot the bite was in Dularge, as they had never caught fish in their live like they did today. With the box full we decided to go catch reds. The tide wasn\\\'t in our favor and the reds didn\\\'t want to cooperate. We got a call from Capt Rob that they were on another good bite, so we headed that way. Fish on again every cast as this is the bite we have been waiting on forever. Once the guys had caught over 100 trout they were ready to go hook into something with a better pull! We headed over to where we have been catching some puppy drum and reds. We fished 8 points catching only four puppy drum. They didn\\\'t cooperate today, but it didn\\\'t matter as the box was already stuffed to the top!! Thanks to all our customer for your business. rnrnBig thanks to Capt Travis Miller and Rob Dupont for taking care of the customers today and putting them on a trip of a lifetime. Great job guys, incredible team work. rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

The Catching Continues!! 4-5-14
Day 2 with Thad Carter, Neil Garon, and Roger Herick had us filling the K2 Cooler to the top. We love defying the odds, and once again did it today. Our second location had the trout coming in!! Several double hook ups and a quick quadruple hook up had us thinking we were going to load the boat. The the fish started short striking the baits and spitting the hooks. We picked away at the fish till the bite pretty much shut down. We didn\'t move far and the guys had their drags screaming as the reds were hungry!! The guys had a blast battling the reds one after another. The guys wanted to catch some puppy drum, so we made a move and dropped some shrimp under a cork only to find one puppy drum and more reds!!! With the K2 full to the top and storms brewing to the South we headed back to the lodge to clean fish. All of our trout fell victim to Matrix Shad in Green Hornet and Tiger. The reds loved the new Reel Dat Shrimp under a cork. Two great days with these guys and their going home with a icechest of fillets. Thanks again guys and I look forward to your return. rnrnBig thanks to Capt\'s Travis Miller. Chris Venable, and Kevin Labat for running the other three boats with Jared Illanne\'s group. Dularge Hammers Showing up 4-4-14
Thad Carter, Neil Garon, and Roger Herick are down for Thad's bachelor party. We got off to a fast and furious start getting bites every-cast. Once things slowed we were off and found some solid fish up to 21 inches, we had them coming into the K2 almost every-cast!! One more stop had another fast and furious bite everycast. Sunny skies and dead calm winds made for a great day. Tiger Bait Matrix and blue back swimbaits tightlined and Shrimp Creole Matrix under a cork did the damage. Good times today, thanks guys. rnrnrnCapt. Marty LaCostern985-856-4477rnwww.absolutefishingcharters.com

Tropical Trout 4-3-14
Felt like Tropical Storm winds today, can we please get a break??? Lol. Frank Lettieri and Keith Kelly from Colorado fished with me today on the big Bluewave. Winds were already blowing 22mph when we left the lodge, so we headed to protected water. It didn\'t take long for the head shaking to begin, as they started to hit the K2 quickly!! Green Hornet Matrix Shad and Blueback HLT Swimmer Jrs were the ticket today. The bite played out early so we were moving. Our second location found more of the same a quick bite then nothing. Third stop found a few more. Fourth stop had the guys reeling in doubles and many singles!! Game on we thought....then nothing!!! Stick and move was the name of the game as the winds were the worst I\'ve seen it yet. 30-40 mph winds made for tough fishing, but the guys stuck it out and put together a respectable box for the conditions. We headed for some ponds I knew were holding reds, and we found them!! Sight casted them in the crystal clear ponds but only one fish hit and it was too small. The reds would just swim by the baits uninterested. All in all it was a great day and the guys loved it. Thanks again and look forward to your return!!rnrnrnCapt.
