Nailed this big 10 point January 23rd in the basin with my bow, during gun season, public land. Don't get any better. 17 yards broad side muzzy mx3 lung shot, ran about 80 yards. 180 pound 10 point. 7:05 in the morning, raining and cold.

Would like to see if any of you have any ideas we could try to get our house boat lifted out of the water. It sank weekend before last due to heavy traffic of air boats and surface drives plowing water through the canal our houseboat is in. We've tried come a longing it on the bank but the bank is to steep and it just keeps digging into the bank. I rented scuba equipment last weekend and tried lift bags and 55 gallons drums to get it to start floating and we also had 2' water pumps pumping water out of the pontoons while we tried lifting it with the lift bags. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Got my mount back from the taxidermist recently and wanted to share with you guys. Aged at 4 1/2 years old and scored 129'. Thanks to Mr. Wade Mestayer of New Iberia for doing an outstanding job on my mount.

Glad to see your doing better man. This is why I believe WLF should let us bow hunters carry pistols during archery season without having to get a concealed weapons permit. How are we suppose to protect ourselves with just a bow if this happens. I got charged by one on red dirt while setting up my climber and was able to jump in my climber and it ran off. But I don't know what I would have done with just my bow if it would have gotten hold of me. We're starting to get them pretty bad where I hunt on attakapas and I'm about to the point of carrying my pistol and just taking a chance of getting a ticket.

A comment titled: Prime example in response to a report titled: After a buck is killed by his scrapes and rubs

Here's a prime example, last year I got 2 nice 8 points together on camera. The smaller one was working the scrape then a bigger one showed up and moved the smaller one out and he started working it.

Yes, multiple bucks will use the same scrapes. So Definitely there is a chance to shoot another one.

Man y'all don't even know how excited I am that I got it up. Was out there all weekend and didn't start making progress until Sunday about 4:30 in the afternoon, so I took off work yesterday and finished it off. Still have a lot of work to do on the inside but the hard part is done. Appreciate all of your inputs and ideas.

Thanks for all you guys input, you all have given me new ideas. I stayed up late last night working on building a 20' tripod, photo attached. I will bolt 3/4' plywood to the bottom of the pads to make a even bigger foot to help support and i will set it up on one corner at a time with a chain fall and try to lift up while using viciousfishes idea on pumping out the tanks with the balls to seal the holes while we pull. Will be working on this all weekend and will let you guys know how it worked out. Thanks again for all your help.
