Today Thursday 3/19
Today my Kentucky crew returned for round two after a bad weather trip last year and today they managed to put a serious hurting on the Redfish. Mike, and his crew buckled down from the start and managed to box redfish after redfish. Before you knew it 2 hours had passed and the fish box in the Ranger was bursting at the seams. Grand total for the day was 30 Redfish, 10 Drum, 2 Bass, and a few trout. . All fish were caught 2’ under a cork using Berkley Gulp and Matrix shad. The fishing in Hopedale Louisiana is really unbelievable and is just going to get better each and every day. Call Capt. Sal today to book your trip and enjoy the fishing adventure of a lifetime. Still have a few days open this month so call and book a trip today.

Today Wednesday 3/18

Today my crew managed to get it done before the rain was due without a problem. After a short run and 2 stops my crew managed to put a really nice box of fish together and make it back to the dock around 11:00 to beat the rain. Both of the young ones wanted redfish and that’s what they got, while at the same time managing to give their dad a tough time by catching redfish after redfish. Today’s count was 20 redfish and 20 drum for my guest from Oklahoma. Sunday 10/26
Today I had the pleasure of fishing with my wife, and her brother Jimmy and wife Gail. We headed to the outer edges of the marsh again and it proved to be the right move. First stop yielded 10 drum, 4 Reds, and a few trout. Second stop was the ticket. Within the next hour and a half the fish were overflowing the box. With no more room we left the fish biting and headed in for the dock. It was a great day on the water with Family. We finished with 20 Drum, 10 Reds, 15 Sheepshead and 75 Trout. All fish were caught on Campo’s shrimp 3 feet under cork in the Hopedale area. The fishing right now is really unbelievable. Late reports from Hopedale
I had the pleasure of fishing with Sean, Kalab and Faith on the boat today. With the weather being a little unpredictable we decided to stay in the marsh with the young anglers and fish Redfish and Drum. I set up Sean on his own and took both of the young ones to the front and got them rolling. After Faith missed the first few fish she final got the hang of it and for the rest of the day Sean and his son Kalab both had trouble keeping up with Faith. She danced and sang to the fish as she brought them to the boat. We finished the day with 15 Reds, 15 Drum, 2 heads and a hand full of Trout. All fish were caught on Campo’s live shrimp. I just had a few cancellations and some re-scheduling for next week and weekend. Call and book your trip today and have a fishing adventure of a lifetime to remember. Call today....

Today I had the pleasure of fishing with my Honeymooners David and Ann from California. They arrived to the boat with very light clothes due to not expecting the very cold weather. After a few minutes of adjustments, the captain managed to get both covered up with Jackets and a set of his own bibs. With the water again gone with the wind we started with a long run to deeper water. Again it proved to be the right call. Both were hooked up from the first cast with BULL REDS!!!!!! After catching and releasing around 10 Bulls we made a move. 2nd stop and 5 smaller reds. 3rd stop and 1 hour later we headed to the dock with a total of 2 Bull Reds, 8 other smaller reds, and 10 really nice Black Drum. While I cleaned and packed the fish for shipping my Honeymooners warmed up and feed the Pelicans. I have a couple weekends and weekday dates available in March and April so give Capt. Today I had the pleasure of fishing with a group of great guys from Tennessee. With the very low water and wind we took to plan 2 and headed to deeper water. First stop along the way proved to be a waste of time as the water was too low. We then continued to our planned spot and the First cast and BAM!!! Bull Red. 2nd cast and BAM another bull red. A few seconds later all 4 were hooked up at the same time. After 15 to 20 Bull Reds caught and released we made another move. As soon as the baits hit the water all 4 fishermen were hooked up. Within the next 40 minutes all had limited out and we headed back to the dock with 4 Bull Reds, 12 other Reds from 6 to 7 pounds and 20 really nice Black drum. The action in Hopedale, Delacroix and Black bay are heating up fast. I have a couple weekends and weekday dates available in March and April so give Capt.
