This is just a reminder that the workshop is tonight.....
I have recently been given some 8" PVC pipes, and i would like to turn them into catfish pipes. I think I can heat them and crimp one end. Is 8" big enough? How do you rig your ropes to the pipes, and how do you find them when checking? Is this a good time of year to set them? Thanks in advance!

8" is plenty big. Make them about 4' long as u said....
Does anyone have a good spot that i could bring the girlfriend to to pick wild berries (black, dew, muscadine, etc.)near Lafayette? I know it is a little early in the season, but I am trying to scout out some areas. I could also use jam and wine recipes. Thanks guys!

I have asked a similar question before, but i would like to know the ABSOLUTE lowest river stage that will allow acess to Lake Warner. I just want the boat to float, even if I have to get out with the waders or pushpole. Any help would be appreciated! I am trying to go Saturday. Thanks guys~

If any bass or sac-a-lait anglers notice the carp spawning or stacked in the shallows anywhere near South Central LA, please feel free to let me know so I can get them out of your way. I promised to take the girlfriend fishing on Saturday, but due to the winds, I decided to forego the circus at Cypremort Point. This decision payed off very well. We fished Delcambre for our beloved catfish. We couldn't exactly get into our honey hole untill later in the day, but we ended up with 46 nice cats. Great day on the water!!
Well, I tried to make a quick trip this morning to The Point before i had to be at work. After reading numerous great reports, I had good expectations. I was fishing under similar conditions about two weeks ago....
Any of you guys trawl in Vermillion Bay? My buddy just bought a boat, and we are heading out Sunday morning. Any one have any tips on what direction to head in? I have been fishing the bay for some time now, but this will be my first time making drags. With the bay being so salty now, I'm sure there are plenty inside. Any one been out since the start on Monday?

We went out of Bayou DuLarge this weekend with Capt. John Verret of AirBoat Charters on Saturday for a little marsh shootin. I brought along 2 buddies that have never been before, and they had a great time. Capt John did a GREAT job putting us on PLENTY of fish. We ended the night a 1:30AM with 33 fish total. i am just getting started in bowfishing i have been doing....
Can someone tell me how to acess Cow Island near Butte LaRose? I know the water is to low right now (unless someone knows otherwise), but I am curious for future reference. I've been told that there is a pullover off the Little Atachafalaya, but where exactly is it, at at what level does the river have to be to access it. And what about Warner Lake? Any info will be appreciated!! Thanks!!

Quality fishing in there. Big bream, beautiful....
Took the girlfriend out for her first real bowfishing trip with her own bow to the Catahoula Locks. She had a blast and stuck 3 small gar (her first). We ended the night with 13 gar, 1 common carp, and a 10lb bighead. We saw LOTS of small gar, but nothing of any size. We also rode over to the river and the water was fairly muddy. Went fishing in Delcambre this morning, and picked up 36 nice channel cats by 10:30. The bite was nonstop, but i had no one in the boat this morning to share it with. Caught them using shrimp, cut mullet, and snagging. Tight Lines

Sorry to hear about being by yourself and catching all....
Thinkin of heading out on the water Sunday morning. Anybody have any fresh reports? How do you guys think the cold snap will affect the fishing in the bay? Wish I could make a trip to Venice or Big Lake. Hopefully next weekend.
