Jack caught this big gar on the shoreline of Lake Ponchatrain. It is his biggest fish to date. He fought it for several minutes. We had some pull the hook that were as big or bigger. The sharks in the area are ridiculous.
Swampboy was mad that i didn't take hime fishing with me Saturday. Yesterday after work, I took him, his pa pa and his uncle to the refish hole. He had a blast. The reds were killing the finger mullet we were throwing to them, we had several lines broken by some huge bulls.
This big old sow came running down the power line with fifteen others. Swampboy waited till she got broadside and laid her down. Swampboy waited for dad to go get the four wheeler but came running when the woods around him began to crackle with swine.
Jack shot this huge beaver in a food plot at 120 yards while hog hunting. The beavers and hogs are on our hit list all year long. This beaver was building a dam in the middle of the road and it was working, holding back alot of flood water.
Swamp boy shot a doe right at dark at twenty yards, it was his tenth deer. His cousin Rileigh Kaack put the smack down on a three point. It was her first deer and her second deer hunt, she is nine years old. We were all very excited. We love to see the kids having a successful hunt.
This big hog came out between me and swamp boy. Swamp boy could not see him so dad had to remove him from the lease. This sucker was nasty, we boiled his head to make a skull mount, it stunk to high heaven.
Swamp Boy shot his fifth buck last Sunday 11/4/12 during the first Ms youth weekend. It was a great shot at 100 plus yards. Swamp Boy and dad were both kinda shaking but we calmed it down. Swamp boy missed a mounter the evening before. Swamp boy got revenge.
Jack and I were hunting a nice six point I had saw the day before when this four point stepped out. Jack was really happy to take him. Maybe we will let the six point go, maybe. This is Jack's fourth buck.
Jack shot this 'boar' hog in Sun, La during the first hour of the 2011 Lousiana Youth Hunting season. He was very happy making a perfect shot at 40 yards. We have about 500 more to harvest as they are taking over the lease.
