Stephon and friend Cody beat me to the Boat Shed early Saturday morning which told me they were anxious to get on the water and catch some fish. I had the pleasue of fishing with Randy and Guy this Friday and alhou it took some time to find the Big Guys, we finally found them. The Tide didn't start coming in until after 10 am and we caught the majority of our fish then. We did catch a few reds with a falling tide.

Thanks to Captain Bill Lake, the Bachelor Party continued all day. The group debated if Saturday was worth fishing because of the predicted storms and lightning. Capt. Bill convinced them that it would be worth the try. As the pictures show, it was a good day to be on the water, in spite of the weather.

Gary always plans to fish while visiting his inlaws for the holiday. His sons Kevin and Steven caught plenty of fish along with friends Erick and Marcus.

Allen Letten an family like the DU. Allen is a frat brother of my nephews JJ Waitz and Andrew Ellender. Trout fishing was slow and we opted to hit a hole that had been holding good number of sheepshead. Fun to catch and great to eat. Trick is cleaning them.

Billy Palmer and old friend Diana Gray visit Dularge to get away from everyday life. These guys were a pleasure to fish with and we all had a great time telling jokes and catching fish. Diana grew up in Arkansas and now lives in Tenessee but still visits with old friends from Arkansas.

Neal Leblanc and his old friend, Cathy grew up together as todlers. Cathy has grown up, married and moved to Arkansas to live with her husband Shawn who is a rice farmer. They had come to town to visit and pass a good time during Mardi Gras. While visiting, they had always wanted to fish South Louisiana. So they gave me a call and the rest is history or should I say a memory they won't forget!

Dr. Barry Bieber is joined with his wife, Micki and two sons Jackson and Harrison on their annual fishing trip in Dularge. Both of the boys are very competitive and won't give Dad a break when it comes to fishing. But Mom, Micki, beat them all when it came time to catching the first red. We caught redfish, drum and a box of trout.

As the guys had to drive 7 hours back home we decided to just fish for reds the second day, 10/25/2012. Again the reds were waiting for us as we soaked cracked crab on the bottom rigged carolina style. We did have to make a few adjustments as the current had picked up and we were using 1 and a half oz. weights. Bubba still contends his red caught the day before weighed 92 lbs. As the photos.... Ben Christmas is joined by his hunting buddies from Coldwater, Miss. The Block House Boys who were able to make the trip were, Fil Thurmon, Jack,Junior and Wild Billy Todd and Readus 'Catfish Bubba' Hudson. We fished on Wednesday, 10/24/2012 for reds in the morning and finished the day catching trout.

Fred Dyess enjoys fishing with his sons, Darrell and Larry, and grandson Jake. They wanted to catch some reds for the grill but had to really work for them as the tide was really falling hard. Keeping the crab on the bottom was critical in catching the reds, if it didn't stay on the bottom, the fish wouldn't hit.

Last minute trip ends up being a great move. Daniel Doiron had booked a Offshore trip which fell thru, so he called at the last minute to schedule for a bachelor party trip. The pics are only those of 1 of 2 boats. Ricky Brondum took the Groom and company and I fished with the father, Daniel Doiron, and friends Jim Reiss, Principle of Vandebilt, and Joey Angeron. Michael Bowery who now lives in Thailand, joined his son, Jeffrey and daughter Jennifer on a redfish trip in Dularge. They were joined by Jennifer's friend Madeline Case. Jennifer, Madeline and Jeffery all live in St Louis, Missouri and had a great time catching beautiful reds on cracked crab on the bottom on carolina rigs. Jeff finally caught the black drum he had dreamed of.

Mike and his Father are joined by his brother-in-law, Loyd and his Father along with a friend met on the DU and have pledged to make this an annual event. Was a chilly boat ride but heated up fast at our first stop. We had many double hook-ups which presented some problems as we were fishing 5 people. We had a great day on the DU as the fish and weather was so fantastic!

We had a hard time getting away from the Bull Drum as they seemed to follow us to every spot we fished.
