When I went to the land yesterday I looked closely at the field that used to be corn. Some of the stalks were bitten off but some were just pushed over. This made me rethink about the culprets being coons. They may well be but something else was there also.
I got this picture last night. Also a few pictures from 8/4 and 8/5 of this guy or another one that looks like him.
I went to pull trailcam pictures this past week and ran into these two at the feeder. Last year's fawns were easy to fool and came right back out to our calling. Education time is coming in October.
QDM is a choice not an obligation. It happens to be my choice. I have no problem with anyone shooting any legal deer although I feel that anyone putting an effort into killing big deer can succeed. All that is needed is to let a few walk (IF you want to). If you are not letting them walk, please don't complain that there are no big bucks in your area. You are the reason that there aren't.... I finally got my P&Y. A well laid plan that actually worked this time. He came in on a string. Thanks to Hyper-P and a little corn. And thanks to God for sending him my way. Who said you can't kill a big one on a food plot? Green Gross 141 5/8" P&Y. Main Frame 9 point with 3 scoreable stickers. Weighed 205 lbs.
Well maybe a little better than a cull. Last year he showed no sign of that 3rd beam. Hey Chris, did I let this one grow big enough? The morale of the story...LETEMGROW!
the last time I had a picture of this guy was on November 23rd. He looks a little worn down but in good shape. You can't see all the points but he is a 7 x 5 but not all the points will score. I hope they will next year though.
This is my third year of bow hunting and I finally got my Muzzy Moment. It wasn't before I messed up though. I let the spike walk first because there was this 6 pointer behind him. I did everything right except "MISS". I know I was shook up after watching them for almost a half hour. It wasn't the 6 point's fault because he gave me a broadside shot at 25 yards. After the shot I.... Read More
Well I had graduated from first bow kill to 2.5 year olds and better. The nextchance I had was one that falls inbetween 2.5 and 3.5 yrs. I had a 30 yard shot and felt confident of the target. I thought I had a good hit but not enough to put him down. Folloew the trail for 500 to 600 yards and 2.5 hours. Heard what we believe was him getting up and then lost the trail. this was a buck that.... Read More
I need a few opinions on this deer. I believe all three pictures are from the same deer. The first one is in 2004; the second is last year; the third is this year. I know the first two are the same but is the third. What is your opinion?
