Friday I'll be headed back south. Them there bucks better watch out. Tonight its getting down to 24 & we'll have snow by friday morning.

These pot holes are dry most years @ this time of the year. Some of you was wondering about the duck population. I just took these pictures in North Dakota. There's a few ducks in every hole beside the road. Out of the way spots is loaded with ducks. The wildlife department said that there was a 82% hatch increase this year. So that should be more ducks. Happy hunting.

The deer have to come out during the day if they want any feed. If not the hogs will clean it up. I can get hog pics @ 7 PM. Then I go set for them & they're a no show. The last trip to the stand I saw nice buck on the way, 2 doe, 1 five, 2 six & 1 seven pointer.

This has worked good for me. Just need some rain.
I planted the oats first, just not too thick. Then I came back with Shot Plot & Alfa Clover mixed on top. It was a light rain while I put out the little seeds. All of it came up good in a few days.
On my Power Line stand the oats are up. Put out the Shot Plot & Clover Plus mixed Friday. Would have done that earlier, but was not.... Read More

This is the only doe with just one fawn. Guess thats a fox, but a weird looking one.

Looks like last years short tine 8 point will be a 10 point this season. In the 2nd picture the 8 point on the right is a new buck. The last picture is of last years 9 point which will be an 8 point this year.

So far they have just sat around & ate the corn. They haven't turned the feeders over yet. The smaller one even takes a nap under the feeder. They have rubbed on the cameras but have spared them so far. Hogs & bear have moved in & the deer moved out.
