Got the chance couple of weeks ago to try the chinquapin in Caney. Found a pretty good bed of them and wound up with 20 good ones late on Saturday afternoon. Had an incident this morning at my hunting spot and wanted to ask for opinions. As a little background I will say that I have written permission to hunt 80 acres of private that is owned by a friend and have been hunting it for 5 years. Just wondering if anyone has been out of Bayou Lacombe lately. Have to be working in Slidell for the week of the 6th and looking for some place I might try in the PM. I have a 17' bass boat with a 115 that I am thinking of bringing.
