Same group of guys I hooked Marty up with I took out YESTERDAY for some filming for a national TV show trolling for some BIG GIRLS with Trophy Trout Charters and that's what we found. I'll keep everyone posted on when the show will air. They got some awesome footage of what trolling with leadcore line and trailers do. Here are just a few pics. The guys had a great time and can't wait to.... Read More
When the water hits 40 degrees the redfish stack up in bayou Loutre down in Hoedale. Took us a while to get down there with all the bridges closed but we made it. We ran down to BSM to get some fresh dead shrimp and ran back up past the bridge and hit the bank. Dead shrimp on a 3/8 goldeneye jighead did the trick. We had our 20 reds in an hour. Some 2 at a time. My son Andrew (whose 12) must've.... Read More
It seems like on this site someone's always got to 'call out' people on the size of there fish. Well hers today's report with more pics of 6+lb trout. Had my friend Robert Rainwater and Capt John Falterman with me today. We left out bright and early from Mandeville and made a stop at the reef on the way out to my super secret shell pad. We picked up a few trout but it was.... Read More
Ended up running 2 trips today. Got a late start this morning but the fish didn't seem to mind. We ran out to my favorite shell pad out in the middle of the lake and started putting a hurting on the trout. We ended up with 50 trout. Smallest was 12.5in then a 15in then ALL THE REST were over 20 inches!!! Most were around 3lbs with some 4s and 5s in there also. One of the prettiest boxes of fish.... Read More
Had a charter this am but clients plane got delayed last night. Already had the boat hooked up so I decided to make a solo run this am. Got on the water around 8 and ran to a shell pad I founds few months ago with my structure scan. It was a one stop shop. Caught my limit of some MOSTER trout. Had to use the net on 90% of the trout. By 10 I was headed in. All fish were caught on Matrix Shad..... Read More
Ran out Saturday from Lake Catherine Marina bright and early. Guys if you're tired of waiting in lines at Rigolets Marina then give Lake Catherine Marina a try. It's only a mile further and there's usually NO wait. I saw trucks backed up on the highway and when I got to LCM there was nobody there. (They also have live shrimp too) We ran to the ICW and loaded the box with trout. We.... Read More
Ended up scouting in the lake yesterday. Picked up a few here and there then ran out to one of my spots and it was ON. Only problem was the 3ft chop. Ended up drifting picking up 1-2 fish before having to run around and do it again. Caught 25-30 beautiful trout. Only kept 4 trout for dinner. Ran back today and it was still rough but the water was much dirtier today. Few trout but it was.... Read More
Anyone here ever heard of a Leatherjacket fish? While throwing my cast net I caught why I thought was a Pogie. It was a little shorter than a Pogie and was really slimy feeling. As I went to pull it out it stuck me. I think it was one of its bottom fins. TOU TALK ABOUT BURN?!?! I figured it would be like a catfish and go away in a few mins. Here it is over 2 hours later and my thumb is still.... Read More
Where were you on this day years ago when the tragedy took place? I was loading the car to take my wife and my 6 month old son to Houston with me for training. I saw it on the news and thought it was a movie. This couldn't be real. Attacks on our own soil? Not knowing what would happen along with my pistol I loaded both ARs and enough ammo to fight my way back to LA if needed be. All I kept.... Read More

Hey guys I listed my 2004 1860 Blazer bay In the classifieds. Don't have room for it with new boat. She's ready to hook up and go fish. I hate to sell her but again room is in short supply over here. She's also rigged up for trolling. Even letting go all life jackets, anchor, rod holders, depth finder, and everything else in boat. ( need flares and fire extinguisher). She's ready to fish. Pass.... Read More
