Bass Fishing in Southeast Louisiana
I have a club tourney out of Jack Millers landing this Saturday (4-5-2014). I've never been here and I don't have time to pre fish before so I've been studying google maps. My question is: is it pretty safe to run the 'lower flat' location, or is it shallow/stump filled? Anything to look out for in that area as far as boat travel? Thanks in advance.

We had a great turnout on Saturday with 23 boats. I had a feeling it was going to take between 10 and 12 lbs to win this tournament and it did. It took 11.59 lbs to take home 1st place and it took over 10 lbs just to crack the top 5! There was great competition out there, and it showed with a close and exciting weigh in. I had a great time putting it on, and I want to thank all you guys for....  Read More

We skipped out on January, but we are having our next Manchac tournament on Saturday February 22. Same rules as the last ones- It's a team tournament (you can fish by yourself if you don't have a partner). Only $20 per boat with $10 per boat optional big bass. Still a month away but just wanted to give the heads up! I'll be posting more info/reminders as the date gets closer!

Hey guys, I'm looking to make the run from Doiron's landing (Verret side) to Bayou black (around Bob's Marina). From what I can see on google maps, it's a pretty easy straight shot. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what to expect making that run. For example: are there any locks through the main channel that goes through Amelia or is that just bridges. And also, are there any wake zones....  Read More

Bass Fishing in South Central Louisiana
Was planning on fishing Old river for the first time this past Saturday, but made a last minute decision to fish out of Bob's bayou black instead. Turns out, the decision paid off! Made the run down to the little Carencro / Brady area and found some good moving water. Ended the day catching 22 bass. A lot of small ones in there, but we did get a few good ones too. Had one in the 3-3.5 lb range....  Read More

Heading out to fish old river (near Morganza) this Saturday for the first time. I know the Miss. river stage plays an important role in the fishing there. Can anyone give me a location where I can find the most accurate Miss. river gauge? And also what to look for as far as river stage? Thanks for any info.
