Go to this link at my blog and be sure to check out 'The Spoil Canal: Revisited' to get a.... Read More

This is a video of some trout blowing up shrimp in one of my favorite spots. I like this spot because it's a main artery in the marsh and a lot of water flows through it. On a falling tide, it's not uncommon to have shrimp jumping here. When we arrived, we already had a limit of trout, but it's good to know other places fish are eating up!
This was posted to my blog first. Be sure to check it.... Read More
The fall will be great fishing, don't waste any time to book your trip!
Fishing has been great this summer, exactly how I thought it would be. Above all, the customers have been great and it has been a blast putting people on fish. I have had a wide variety of people, from older folks to children. All of them have always enjoyed themselves. Some days are better than others, but I can.... Read More
Fishing has been windy, but we have been on 'em. When other guides are canceling, we are working to find a way. The water has been high and is very clean especially in protected areas. A lot of baitfish has been blown further inside the marsh making trout fishing possible. A lot of trout we have pulled up had huge bellies full of finger mullet and pogies. The trout were hitting minnows right at.... Read More
The War on Terror doesn't hit home for a lot of Americans. While it goes on every day for those that are involved, it's easy to forget it's there for the rest of us that are at home. Take this weekend to remember those who went above and beyond.

Hey guys, I always tell people what I use to plan my fishing trips, especially whenever they're asking how I think fishing the next few days will be like. It was getting old typing out the same info over and over again. So I took the liberty of making a page at my blog that details all of this information. Check out: http://www.swampstallionfishingadventures.com/wordpress/fishing-trip-planning.... Read More
Today I tied about 50 double rigs for fishing this summer. I really like for my customer's to catch two trout at a time. For me, it's the hallmark of a great fishing trip. I plan on tossing a lot of Matrix Shads in Lemon Head that I got from Chas over at Dockside.

I'm posting again with another article I know will help you and your fishing experience. When I posted Running the Swamp Stallion Circuit http://www.swampstallionfishingadventures.com/wordpress/swamp-stallion-circuit/ I talked about scouting and how important it is to find new fishing spots. In this day and age with rising fuel costs, it's important to learn how to pre-scout. I cover this in my.... Read More
