A buddy and I are in Shreveport for the week camping with our families. If anyone knows of a place that we could walk in and hunt I would greatly appreciate it. We are from South Louisiana and have no idea where to go. Thanks in advance
Just looking for everyone's thoughts on the importance of the wind direction vs having the sun at your back. Would rather have the sun and wind at my back, but if it is not possible, is it better to have the sun or wind at your back?

always hunt with the wind at your back or a cross wind....
After Teal Season ends I am looking at scouting a few WMAs. I was on the LDWF site and I think I am going to hit 3 Rivers, Dewey Wills, Grassy Lake, and Red River. I only have access to a pirogue, so I need to know if I should eliminate any or all of these. I am not looking for specific locations, just wether or not these areas are navigable in a pirogue or will I be runover by hunters in boats?.... Read More
