Opinions & Responses in Louisiana
I'm considering purchacing a Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi with tow package to tow a travel Trailer weighing 6300 lb dry, probably 6800 lb max loaded. Please give me your comments good or bad about this truck. I think it was truck of the year in 2013. I would think the engine has the bugs worked out after 55 years. How well is the truck built. Is it well put together. How does this 5.7.... Read More

Another good use for your fish grilling basket is to fill it with your favorite vegetables and grill them. In the photo is zucchini and yellow squash. You can put mushrooms, onion, green tomato slices, eggplant, etc. You get the picture. You can baste them while grilling with Italian dressing, butter, olive oil or any mixture you like. I usually just baste them with a little butter and.... Read More

I like to grill a big bag of chicken drummettes nice and crispy and pour hot wing sauce over them, great with a cold beverage.

It was December 22, 1985 and I was hunting on my lease in Redwood, Mississippi located just above Vicksburg in the hills over looking the delta. It was unusually cold at this time and I believe the temperature was about 10 degrees on the morning of.... Read More

spillway hunter, you were inquiring about things you can do with shrimp. Here are some photos of some shrimp I sautéed for the Super Bowl. You start with onions, mushrooms, minced garlic, green onions and a stick of butter. Cook everything down till almost done then put your shrimp in for the last five to 7 minutes depending on size. You can eat as a side dish, I started piling the.... Read More

This is my Father In Law's turkey injection mix recipe. I find the store bought injection void of seasoning. Once you mix this together most of what you add will NOT dissolve so when you pull it into your syringe you need to stir the liquid so the seasoning will be suspended in the solution. When you inject the seasoning solution start deep and pull out as you inject to leave seasoning.... Read More

Can you help?

I found a wallet on the side of the road this morning while passing through Pearl River. I tried looking in the white pages for his name on the computer, no match. I found a doctors office appointment card in the wallet. I called the doctors office and told them what happened, gave his name and my name and phone number. Did not hear anything all day today so I called the.... Read More
