went with my uncle and cousin out of jugs yesterday afternoon. we could see fish every where. we ended up with 4 reds. we could see flounder jumping completely out the water everywhere but for some reason we couldnt catch any of them. o and anyone looking for a boat needs to buy a 23 haynie low side. it is the fastest and smoothest riding boat ever.

I was wondering if anyone has gone out to any of the islands or anywhere and caught trout on topwaters lately? i went two weekends ago and we caught one redfish and 13 trout on topwater. thanks for any info.

went to the boat show at the civic center last weekend in houma. I got a new swampland coastal series rod. it is my favorite rod and i have shimano rods, carrot stix, american rod smith, all star, and falcon rods but i have to say that i think that it is one of the best rods that you could buy for the money.
went on duck lease this weekend with my uncle and some of his friends saturday down dularge. we caught a total of 32 bass, 6 redfish, and 2 trout. all fish were caught on swim baits. the biggest bass we caught was 4 1/2 pounds. the smallest was 1 pound. we let one bass go that was about 6 pounds. all fish were caught in 2-3 feet of water.

went to lost lake today and caught 4 limits of trout all on topwater baits. we also caught about a 30 pound drum and two other redfish on nemire spoons.

went out of cocodrie and stayed inshore and caught 10 nice reds and 5 about two pound trout. caught all on plastics.caught one red on topwater that was 26 1/2 inches and it weighed a liitle bit over 10 pounds.
i was wondering what is the best rod for fishing inshore for trout and reds? i usually fish with all shimano and carrot stix and falcon. thanks for any advice
