We REALLY need everyone's help on this petition readers. As of Thursday (8/14) afternoon we ONLY have 813 signatures. It's getting somewhat frustrating and starting to make me ask myself why did I ever start this petition if there is so LITTLE support for it?
PLEASE tell all your friends and neighbors about the petition and URGE them to sign on. ALSO,.... Read More

Fishing Fort Lauderdale on Happy Day Today with Capt. Zsak
Bryan Rock along with his lovely friend, Jackie Ward, from Seattle chartered the Happy Day Today along with the Topshotfishing team to do some deep sea big game sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Winds were out of the east at 2 mph and temperatures were in the low 90ís with blue skies.
I have an old reel that is what I call free spool/direct drive. It is silver with century on the side with the handle. Stamped on the bottom of the foot is 100. Does anyone know who the manufacture is. Johnson made a green spin cast, but I could not find this one.
Small black tip shark maybe 3 feet long caught in Stump Lagoon in the Rigolets on dead shrimp bottom fishing. This on the heels of what had to be a much, much larger shark yesterday 100 yards or so yards from the HWY 90 bridge. It ran out 200 yards of 80 lb. test braided line super fast before snapping it. Can't confirm that one was a shark, but my gut intuition is leaning that way judging by.... Read More
David and Darlene Landry joined me on the Bluewave today. We found a slow bite at our first stop. We picked away at the fish as they came in spurts. Our second stop found the fish stacked as we had them coming in every cast. We filled the K2 to the top as we could hardly close the lid. My crew had the time of their life reeling in all of the reds and puppy drum. They will have sore arms.... Read More
My friends and I do a yearly bow fishing trip. We used southern style bow fishing last year and had a wonderful time. Although we did not shoot many fish due to weather conditions we overall had a great time. We told many of our friends about the great experience we had and as a result we chartered not one but two boats this year. The experience.... Read More
The Ride the Bull 5 Kayak Fishing Tournament set another world record on Saturday.
Crushing last year's record setting participation of 488, this year's crowd was 722. That makes RTB the World's Largest Kayak Fishing Tournament for two years in a row. The closest tournament in size is still several hundred short so the record should stand for a long time.
John Dongieux had such a good time last month fishing with me, that he was back today. His son Brennan joined us also. Our first stop found a slow incoming tide, then it went slack for hours. With only one fish in the K2 it was past time to move. Our next stop found a couple more fish but slow. Capt Rob was on a hot bite and called me over. Upon pulling up The Chick-Fil-A crew with Capt Rob.... Read More
May not be right place for this but I am looking to get a 12in X 12in piece of 1/8in aluminum and one bend put into it. Anyone know of any aluminum fabrication businesses in the New Orleans area. Thanks in advance.
i want to buy an aluminum boat, i cant decide between the sea ark xv180, or the express xp18cc. The express seems to be better built but the seaark has a very nice V to cut thru the chop. Can any body tell me if they have any recomondations, or horror stories i should know about?
Running a 17 foot skeeter bass boat with a 115 on it. Looking for a good place where I can get inshore quick and get on a couple reds. Is this enough boat for the Delacroix area? Any suggestions on where to launch and where to head?
I was very please to see all my fellow anglers come together last night. It was standing room only at the Hyatt conference room. The Gulf coast council knew when they left how we feel about our fisheries. However I feel that the council will do what they want to do regardless of public opinion.
Would anyone happen to know what organization/group had a bunch of bass boats launching out of Myette Point on Aug 13 at around 4pm?
Reason I'm asking, one of the boats (possibly associated with that group) buzzed by my father and mother in law (who are in their late 60's)so fast that they were both knocked over and fell inside their boat. They were preparing to pack it up and move.... Read More

5 days in Buras with me and some buds. All we do is kayak fish. I know there are 2 or 3 put ins in Buras , but we would appreciate any suggestions on where to go. Reds in Florida are scattered.. so this will be new to us from the crazy fishing I have seen in videos. I have read that the reds meet up in the passes in the river once it drops.. we're willing to go wherever. Any help would be great.
