Are there any Redfish Bowfishing Tournaments anywhere?
I've searched the web and can't find anything. Why don't we have any bowfishing tournaments here in the south and why not reds? We need to get something started. Wanting to fish the causeway next weekend, but don't know where to launch on the north shore. Can anyone tell me where I can launch and possibly get live shrimp?

Made a trip today with my dad. Fishing was on then off then on again. But when they turned on I managed to stick 4 good trout in my book. Biggest went 6.34 then a 5.11 then a 4.73 and a 4.13. We ended with 33 fish total by 10am at to leave so I can get home to watch mt girls while the wife went to work

Had a great trip this weekend with the family, ended up with a total of 49 cats ranging from 20lbs to 44lbs. Many hours of cleaning might I add.

Me and my son took the kayaks out one after noon on the South side of Lake P. under the HWY 11 Bridge, (May 7th), we did OK, was slow and most fish were to small, however I did manage to catch a big Red, it was fun to fight him away from the bridge for about 20 min, my son did get a legal one too but not as big as Dads, LOL. A few days ago I was motoring across Breton Sound and came across a horrible sight... Thousands of big mature redfish flying dead on the surface. They went on for miles and miles. I know anyone out there recently can confirm this. I took pictures and video. The fish were stacked up in a rip line with 'pogie foam'. Onboard today we had Jimmie, Eddie and James(JT)and we headed to Grand Isle. One stop is all it took to find the trout as they were hungry and biting like crazy.

I'm going fishing Saturday morning and can't decide where to try. I want to learn Delacroix, but I am wondering if this is an area I need to go with someone who is familiar before I go on my own. Is it fairly easy to navigate? Anything I should be wary of (obstructions, shallow areas, etc.)? I will be fishing out of a 1546 xpress semi-v. My other options are Hopedale or Bayou Bienvenue. Spawning trout starting to move in. We made a couple of trips this past week. Didn't catch any limits,but had a nice mess of fish each day. Almost every fish was female. Caught all on plastic (chartreuse sparkle cocohoe). We actually lost twice as much. Fish are soft biting. Good luck to all.

Was woundering if you could point me in the right....
haven't been home(south Louisiana, a.k.a. God's country) in month's. Finally, headed that way. Can anyone tell me where the sac-a-lait are hittin? I was thinkin of hittin up Bayou Catabla, possibly the Gremit, or Big Alabamba.......
