WENT FISHING IN ENPIRE AND HEADED OFFSHORE AND PULLED UP TO A RIG WITH LOTS OF RED SNAPPERS. HAD TO THROW BACK. WENT ON A 220 GLACIER BAY . TRIED TO FIND KING MACKREL , AJ'S AND COBIAS. CAME TO A RIG AND HAD TO MOVE BECAUSE OF BP BOAT I THINK HAD MADE US LEAVE . OUR BOAT RAN GOOD OFFSHORE FOR A FIRST TIMER .BOATS A CATERMARAN SO IT WAS VERY CALM. CAME HOME WITH NO KEEPERS.

I have an La Traveler that has set up for 2 yrs with a full tank of gas. What is the best way to dispose of it? In the past, I have mixed fresh gas with some old and gone with it. Thoughts on mixing in some Stabil water remover, pumping out half that gas and refilling with fresh ETHANOL FREE gas???

So glad to get out on the water Friday before the monsoons arrived Saturday. Fishing with me was Pat Giroir. We ran out of Cannons in bayou black to do some bass fishing on the way out. Another Rig Explosion

The Coast Guard is reporting a rig explosion in the Gulf about 80 miles south of Grand Isle.

The explosion happened about 9:30 a.m. and rescue helicopyers from New Orleans and Houston are responding. No news on any injuries at this time.

Does anyone know if the big launch on the Pearl River at Hwy 90 is open to the public? I heard it had been closed and was being used as an operations base for the BP spill.
