So Mary Landrieu announced her latest attempt to betray our state today, turning the bulk of the Atchafalaya Basin into a national park! While at first that may sound like a good thing, she is lauding fictitious restoration funds and 'improved acess for tourist', what it really means is a giant NO HUNTING sign in the center of our coast. Also no further oil and gas activity in the area. This.... Read More

Looking to switch rounds for my winchester model 70 .270. I had been shooting 150gr ballistic tips and found that I was NEVER getting a blood trail; resorted to shoulder shots which equaled wasted meat. I have begun researching and know that I want to drop down to 130gr. I don't expect to have to make shots past 250-300 yds.
I'm looking at Accubonds, Interbonds, or.... Read More
It was good having Kenny Siears back onboard today. Kade Siears and David Stafford also joined us. We found the reds stacked up at our first stop. We had multiple double hook ups. Once our limit was iced down in the K2, the guys played catch and release. We headed South after the guys had enough to go look for trout. The trout did not cooperate like the reds did, but we managed to pick away at.... Read More

Been catching some nice drum (18'-22')at the L&N Bridge. Dead shrimp on the bottom. This one wore Jeremy out but he got it solo, I was just the netter. 4 keepers, this giant throwback, a few big sail cats released. Of course croaker, hardheads, and stingrays. At least we had some action. We were out there Monday afternoon from about 5-7:30. A school of about 20 dolphin came in as we.... Read More
Second trip to PAC. Fished the southern section off of Island Rd. Last time I was down there I checked that area out and they were 3 guys that killed the reds. So I went there today. Got a late start but first cast fish on! That's how it was for about 30 mins with h&h plastic. Every other cast fish on- but all small trouts and reds. And then nothing but harheads on dead shrimp. I can't.... Read More
