I'm trying to find someone that can engrave a gun for me. I am giving my nephew a gun that I have had for 16 years. I always said I would give it to him on his 16th birthday. This cannon ball was recovered along bayou Lafourche south Of Donalsonville . I'm thinking civil war??? I do know that Napolean Bonaparte faught his way up bayou Lafourche. Any body know about cannon Balls?and war artifacts from this area? I do have another one as well its about double the size of this one from same area . Also in better condition . I bought my 90 lb wife a 9mm Springfield XMD. The first time she shot it (which was only the second time she ever shot a pistol), she put 6 shots in a 3 inch circle at 30 feet. She loves it. I had her shoot my Smith and Wesson .375 and the kick was too much for her. I highly reccomend the Springfield.
I saw where there is a gunshow in Natchez this coming weekend. I'll be at my place in Woodville, and may run up there to it. I was wondering if being a La. resident would prevent me from buying a firearm from a Ms dealer at the show? Thanks for any help. Good luck.

How much do you think a potato cannon can run for? It's simply made with PVC pipes, a 2', 4' diameter combustion chamber, with a 4', 2' diameter barrel? It's a really fun toy, but can be a little dangerous. I launch potatoes, lemons, and even golf balls out of it. (To launch a golf ball, I simply pack a wad of newspaper tight into it and put the golf ball in it after.)

For all the AR techs out there, i'm building an AR right now and i have a extra 3x9x40 nikon prostaff scope. Can i mount this scope onto my AR upper? I went to Academy this weekend and found again bare shelves with few guns in the rack. I was talking with the man behind the counter about the times we live in. He told me they have all there semi-auto guns locked up along with high cap clips. He said he thinks it wont be long before they are back to normal and can sell them again. My gun (savage 110 bolt action 30-06) has a problem. When I tried to load it yesterday morning I could not get the bolt to close. Extracting a shell is tough once you tried to close the bolt with a bullet in the chamber.
Basically you can work the bolt just fine when cycling the gun with no ammo. But the bolt goes forward but does not close with a bullet in the chamber. My gun got caught in.... Read More

Lil help please. I just bought a Remington 308 Hangmaster from someone and was wanting to get it re-blued. Do any of you have any info on where I can get this done in the BR/Gonzales area? Called Hebert Guns and their price seemed kinda high.
