Here are just a few Trail-cam pictures that I pulled from my camera this past weekend at our place in South Texas.

i'm just getting into hog hunting and was wondering what was the best arrow shafts to use, i have heard you want to use a heavier shaft arrow when hunting them. my bow is set at 70 pounds right now, so any help would be appreciated. thanks

I use the same shafts and broadheads that I hunt....
Since when does our God given rights be taken away by people who think they know whats best for us.West bay has always been a way of food and tradition for the allen parish residents.were being told and pushed out of the area because of some fight that probably never happened. When is the date that you can start hunting hogs at night with guns? This is starting to be a problem in southwest La. They are over taking the deer and before long not much we can do

I am hunting a piece ofproperty for a farmer and trying to rid him of his hog problem the pigs do not venture out of the cane they walk by corn and soybeans and mollasses. I want to try and plant something for them to get them out of the corn. I have been told to try turnips or rape but not sure if i should use purple top or if that would even be a good thing to plant. Good hog hunting trip this weekend for my Birthday. Had family and good friends up and the camp. We had a blast and we caught some hogs. We have 44 caught for the year. This boer that was caught this weekend was the bigges caught with dogs up on my lease so far since we been hunting them with hogs. He went 350 are better, and had some nice cutters. Went to Cougar Run 2 in Texas this pass weekend with 8 other friends. Stalked pigs all day. Could never get a decent shot cause the pigs were always running. Finally I came to a tree top and saw something black but couldn't make it out. Got about 15 yards and noticed it was a hog laying against a fallen tree. Drew back my bow and released a arrow. The hog bill that was up passed! the bill was to allow the removal of hogs day or night and should go into affect in a month or two. as of now you have to get a permit to shoot hogs at night and it was a pain, not for long and we the public might be able to attempt to put a dent in the wild hog population. I would like to hear back on this topic so i can find out really how many hog hunters are.... Read More

I hate hogs!! Swine Stalker these pictures are for you bud.. Avoyells Parish is full of HOGS!!! I started trapping them a few weeks back after getting them on cam. I hunt on a club that 'dont have hogs'....

Went after them this weekend. Got on alot of hogs but only manage to get 2 boers. The hogs were busting before the catch dog could get to them, brush is getting very thick. It was also hard for the dogs to bay tight due to the thick briars and also hunting at night. I AM PLANNING ON BUILDING SOME HOG TRAPS IN A FEW WEEKS. I WAS GOING TO BUILD SOME LIKE THE ONES FOR SALE IN THE CLASSIFIED SECTION, UNTIL A GUY TOLD ME ABOUT A STYLE THEY HAVE BEEN USING. I usually use regualar whole corn to bait my traps. You....
Will be posting some pictures next week of the hog hunt. We are going hit them this weekend at night and early in the morning. Me, Kevin Bynog hope to add a few more to the 40 we got so far this year.

Any Advice????
I have been trying to snare a few hogs that are becoming a problem. I have caught one and have a few run through the snare or not get snared/caught fully. I bought the snares from a trapping company in LA and set them just as they said to. I would like to see if anyone has any ideas/suggestions on how I can get the snares work better? I do have deer stops on the snares. Thanks!

This is a great video of a bunch of wild boars running through the woods. It sounds like a war going on.
I'm looking for a lease somewhere in Louisiana or East Texas. I want the land to be slap full of hogs. don't have to have deer on it.

A friend of mine killed this nice hog 4/28/10 in forked isl. thats the only pig we saw it was very dry hope the rain this weekend gets them moving a little better we didnt have a scale to weigh it we think it was around 200 lbs. the bike in the back ground is a 500 artic cat and his head is still on the ground what do yall think he weighs?
My buddies and I are looking for some public land to hunt hogs. If anyone has any tips/ideas as to where I can go, it will help trmendously. I am new to the area and I want to get set up for hog hunting and eventually some deer hunting. Please all ideas will help. thank you
I need a hog trapper in Concordia Parish near Ferriday. Will have to use traps because land borders Cocodrie Refuge and no hunting allowed in this area. Plenty hogs. Catch or kill as many as you want. If your experienced and can do the job without damaging property contact me at the address below.

Got 4 hogs this weekend. They were not moving too much until after the rain came through. We managed to get 4, 1 big sow and 1 boer and 2 sholt.

Sense we have finally started getting good rain down at my place in South Texas the Hog population has just exploded! Sense Turkey season has opened I have been over run more then I can count with Hogs coming past my set-up or spooking them and mess up a good Gobbler coming in.

Maybe you should look at hiring these guys. I would pay....
Will be heading too the lease this weekend for some hog hunting. Should be a good weekend with the cool front. Looks like a bomb went off around our feeders so they are not far. Should get about 10 I hope. Will post next week!!

Any hints on getting hogs to a feeder during daylight hours. I have a big one coming to the feeder every night but very seldom in daylight. Any tricks I need to try?

Well the hog count has risen. Friends have been putting a hurt on them slow but steady. Breakfast and regular sausage out the wazoo-need to figure out more ways to fix pork. Plan to go after some mini cajun microwave size one weekend.

Here are a few pictures of a hog hunt in Feb. me and a few of my buddies went on at my lease in North Louisiana. Jackson Bienville. We hobbled the bores and stuck the sows and skinned them out. No guns involved just dogs and knives.

Here is a sow me and a buddy of mine killed in Oct 2008. Our scale max out a 500lbs and she was alot heavier than that. I figured she was 700lbs are more.
