On the second day of the Kansasn hunt, this ole tom hung up and strutted around about 60 yards out, for what seemed like hours before he finally committed to come in to J.R.'s soft clucks and purrs! What a mistake!! J.R. rolled him!! This Tom sported an 11' beard and 1' spurs!

I'm so blessed for the great turkey season that I had this year but I'm sad to see it come to a close. I made one hunt in Louisiana and I was able to get away to Texas a few times this year.

My goal this year was to video my kids taking turkeys and or to get a kill on video and to see a Tom fight with my decoys on film. I was able to acomplish both!

I had some close calls, watched my.... Read More

I have taken both of these gobblers This season in the middle of the day between 1:00pm and 4:00PM. Things do not happen off the roost like they should. Make yourself stay in the woods and things will happen. Cover a lot of ground or go back at mid day where they were gobbling at daybreak and set up a call for a hour or so. Both of these were gobbling to the call but a lot of times they just.... Read More
